I took the time this weekend to go see Bewitched with some friends. Now I wasn't expecting much from this but I found it not bad but not all that great the only word to describe this movie is "cute"!
They also did something very smart with this they decided to stay away from the Bewitched series and make it about remaking Bewitched which is smart because now the audience doesn't have the original to compare it too and it gives the director more to work with! Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell make this movie, Nicole Kidman plays the sweetest, adorable witch whom is oblivious to the ways of the world and it's hilarious. Will Ferrell (as in all of his movies) makes the movie a comedy he always makes me laugh and laugh! I just wish they gave him more time to goof off! The casting in this movie was brilliant, there was an unknown as Nicole Kidman's Neighbour and she is the funniest thing she will definately have a future. Overall this was a cute movie, if you're looking to get out of the heat and get some good laughs grab your date and see this! (that is if you haven't seen War Of the Worlds!). |

NK's neighbor was Kristen Chenoweth, she's on the West Wing, very funny.
The day before I saw it, someone gave it a really bad review over the radio and I was really apprehensive to see it - especially since I don't really like Will Ferrell. But I really liked it. It was funny, cute, and Nicole Kidman was - as you said - adorable. |

When Will Ferrel is trying to say "it's my dog, I want him back," but Isabel uses her magic, that part was worth the entire movie to me. That made me laugh so hard when I saw it in theaters. Other than that, the movie is pretty forgettable. I liked it the first time I saw it, but once it came on PayPerView, the movie got pretty old. |

I hated Will Ferrel. He acted like an 'amatuer' actor in it. |

Yeah, I never really liked Will Ferrel in anything but SNL except for some parts. Why he's the love interest in this film, I'll never know. |

I really despised this movie. Sure it was cute, but it was just a bad movie. That's all I can say and that's just my opinion. |
| Look For these in the future:
JACKSON - (Dark Western)
A HOME IN THE SUNSET - (Horror)
THE AMAZON - (Thriller/Drama)
THE LEGEND'S - (Animated/Family/Comedy) |

I didn't like it either. I don't know why, though. It just didn't click with me. All I can say is they better not come out with a sequel! |

Yeah it did get a release in Australia, I saw it there. I thought it sucked BIG TIME. I'm actually a fan of the TV series. Why they couldn't have set it in the sixties and made the movie a combination of the show's best episodes is beyond me. |

That's surprising Ben. When they were in pre production, there was talk about switching Darrens half way through the movie, because that's what happened in the TV series. However, in the end they chickened out. They probably realized that their target audience wouldn't have got it. Perhaps someone will remake I Dream of Jeanie. Hopefully they would take note of the mistakes made with Bewitched and do a better job. I could see Sarah Michelle Gellar playing Jeanie and Ben Affleck playing Major Nelson.
