Not sure if anyone else watches Battlestar Galactica, but I've got some news that the third season starts production in Vancouver in April. Also SCI FI Channel has added Lucy Lawless to the cast. Lawless will reprise her role as D'Anna Biers in a 10-episode arc in the next season.

More info here

I've never watched Battlestar, or anything on Sci-fi for that. I don't know when anything comes on. I'm trying to get the times for Fire Fly, but they don't show it on the site.
Anyway, is this as good as Fire Fly/Serenity?

A web series of ten "webisodes" called Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance designed to focus on events that take place on New Caprica between seasons two and three of the television series will air on SCI FI PULSE.

A new Webisode will be posted each Tuesday and Thursday through Thursday, October 5, the night before Season 3 begins.

Check out the first two webisode at the link above.

I loved watching Battlestar Galactica... mainly for Starbuck.

Season one was brilliant, season two was just as good but I began failing to watch it nearing the end of season two, so I missed the ending of it. Hopefully season three will blow me away so that I have to watch it.

it wasn't until recently that I watched an episode of the new Battlestar.  I still have memories of the awful 70's version (shudder) But after seeing this rerun late one night I went out and bought the first season and now I'm hooked!

With luck season three will be every bit as good as the first (I'm still catching up on season two.)

Scifi has pulled a fast one and posted the first ten minutes of the third season. The link is buried in the latest webisode of The Resistance on Scifi's website.

Go to the link provided above (if you go through the usual Scifi Webisode link you won't find it. Once the Resistance starts look to your right and you'll see a link that says "Watch A Full Episode & More". Click that, and when the video links appear scroll to the bottom and click on "First Look".

Previously, The SciFi Channel announced a reduced "Battlestar" fourth season order of 13 episodes rather than 22. Some thought this was due to the slight ratings erosion during the show's current third season.

But now, according to TVWeek.com:

Quoted Text
SciFi will formally announce on Thursday that the network has increased its fourth season order of Battlestar Galactica to 22 episodes.

The order will include a special two-hour Battlestar event to air during the fourth quarter of 2007 on Sci Fi, and will also be released on DVD.

The two-hour "event" is said to deal with the Battlestar Pegasus shortly after the start of Cylon War II.

Oh yeah, season three concludes Sunday.

Sweet!

I love Battlestar, but I never get a chance to watch it weekly, just when the half-season box sets come out. I'm looking forward to 3.0 and then 3.5.

I'm happy to see that they've increased the order for Season 4.

A few weeks a go at the Saturn Awards, series lead Edward James Olmos told reporters that the fourth season would be its last. Then Galactica producer David Eick replied a few hours later that season four was not necessarily the series' last.

But now it's official, season four will be Galactica's last. Head over to Variety for more.

A sneak peek of Razor (the working title of the upcoming television film) was shown during the Season 2 premiere of Eureka. Click here to see the teaser. The link is in the bottom right part of the page.

I know there is at least five or six other Battlestar fans so here is a little something to hold you over until Razor airs in November.

Just like last season, Sci-Fi is releasing a web series of seven "webisodes" before the actual season and the upcoming film. The webisodes consists of flashbacks that provide "the story of a young William Adama's discovery of a Cylon experiment during his time in the first Cylon War." These flashbacks were actually cut out of the Razor television movie due to time constraints.

The first one is already up over at Sci-Fi.com .
