Ryan's entry, A Few Moments of Your Time was filmed.  The script was removed at the film maker's request.

A census taker knocks on a man's door.  What follows is an unexpected battle of wits.

Lol.  I was munchin' on some of my son's leftover Vienna sausages while watching this and I had one of those 'What the hell am I doing eating this?' moments.

Have you had any of your other stories filmed?  I came across a short film called 'Still Life' on YouTube, and I remembered you had a story called that, but I don't think they were the same.

Oh yeah, and just to be clear so you don't think I'm a sicko, I only had the Vienna sausages that he didn't spit back out his mouth or weren't that chewed up.

Good stuff, Ryan. This was very well produced and the acting was top notch. Got annoyed as hell with all the door bell ringing in the beginning, but now I see why the census guy just didn't piss off.

Thanks, I think it came out well.

The cha-ching cash sound wasn't in the script, but was a nice touch by the director.

Fun trivia:  the guy who plays the boss at the end was in Machete and The Ringer.  Also a bunch of Walker Texas Ranger episodes.

The director, Hugo Martinez also shot another one of my scripts called "Tough Room" which is also in post production.

Funny you should say that. As I watched when he came on, the film felt better or richer. I can't say exactly why, but that's how I felt. Maybe it's like reading a pro script versus a non pro script. I can't tell you exactly how I know it's a level above. I just know.  

This was very nicely done; I liked it a lot.  Good acting and good production.

We chatted at a recent Sherwood Oaks event.
Naturally, we had a lot to discuss, starting with our similar monikers.
He played President Kennedy in Watchmen and Transformers 3.

Yeah, the actors's name is Al Dias and he was also in the latest Spy Kids movie(guess he's a friend of Robert Rodriguez) and had a role in a now-cancelled tv show called The Good Guys.

I remember that script from the challenge but I couldn't recall what actually happened at the end of it; so I got a bit of a shock there near the end!!

Congrats Ryan! Really enjoyed it. Just out of curiosity - how did you get this produced? Did you approach the director? Did you know him already? I've never been involved in a short so how these projects come to fruition is all new to me...
