I love me some good BEEF Netflix is providing a very tasty series of the same: BEEF! The writing is fantastic and the acting by Ali Wong and Steven Yeun is award worthy. My wife and I binged BEEF over the weekend and, OMG, what a trainwreck! We couldn't look away.

They say that a good story makes you really want to care and root for a character but not this time. The story arc and acting was so good that we hated everybody in the show. Not a single redeeming quality in any character.

Loved it! 4****

Um, we'll check this out.. It popped up on our Netflix but I honestly thought it was a drama about the Beef industry so I passed.

Wife and I are three episodes in, we're in it until the end I'm sure.

My thought was that it is a version of The War of the Roses, but with strangers.

Ok, done yesterday. This is the most crazy and twisted love story I have seen in some time. Everything in life is a catch 22.  Episodes 9 and 10 put it on top for me. Steven and Ali’s performances were great. I think it dragged at times. I most definitely wouldn’t give it a "better than sex" but overall it's good.

Finished this last week.

Yes, an altogether horrid cast of characters (except George, who wasn't all bad). Having said this it's amazing and a good screenwriting lesson in that you don't have to have likeable characters to have a riveting show. Just had a thought... Succession does this too, but it's nowhere near as engrossing or entertaining as Beef was.

Why I'm shocked you liked it.

Binge watched it twice, It's shows like this that reminded me why we decided to keep our Netflix subscription. -A

...

Really?
OT, I'm not impressed with the turn Barry took. I think the shifts in tone are hit and miss - enjoyed it when it was more comedic and there are still elements of humour that work, but if it was up to me only I probably would have ditched it.

Loved the final Ep of Beef! I was sure I was going to be disappointed but they tied everything up nicely, especially with the last frame of the last shot.

Final takeaway: Don't eat berries in the wild.

Wow!  I would never have watched this had John Staats not posted his review with the subject link in ALL CAPS...

This is very good.  And, yes.  All of the characters are terrible people.

I've only watched the first two and I'm struggling, to be honest. Normally, masturbating with a gun and pissing all over someone else's property sounds like something that would at least pique my interetst, but in this case I found myself not really giving a damn. I'll probably try Ep3 later today, but only because Ep2 ended on a must see cliffhanger.

I enjoyed this series. I'm not sure it quite lives up to the hype it's getting, but it certainly had a unique setup. It veers away from the central conflict of the story for most of the middle of the show and then returns with a nice finish. It's definitely better than a lot of other shows that have been churned out of late.
