Hi, this is my first post here so sorry if I get something wrong or if this is not the appropriate place to ask this. To get right down to the problem, in 2020 I started working on the scripts for this five season series. The season lengths vary from twenty one episodes to about thirteen episodes. I'm unsure on the episode lengths but generally they vary between six to around twenty pages. The number of characters that appear in each episode vary from six to at one point forty characters. I'm just starting the rough drafts for season four and I've finally decided to go ahead and start getting a team together so I can start putting out episodes. I just need some advice on the project:

I want to do monthly payments but I don't know what the proper amount of money to pay people per month is. I want everyone to have an equal amount of money and eventually I want to get to the point where we're putting out two to three episodes at a time. Unless it's one of the longer ones then we can just focus on that one episode. And, seeing as I plan on asking viewers to help fund the project, I don't want to ask too much of them either. I've searched the internet and asked other people for advice but I haven't gotten anything concrete. Whenever I search up 'how to start an animated web series' I get results for the animation side of things. My drawing ability is that of a five-year-old.

Episode one will have twelve characters, not counting three nameless background characters that I was thinking of just giving to the voice actors for the actually named characters. Oh and if it helps I plan on having ten people work on episode one (the animation will be in an animatic style and the artists are free to choose whatever art style they want for their section of the episode) I plan on getting some equipment to do the editing so I'll have that covered. I was thinking about 400 dollars a month for everyone, is that a good offer?

Sorry if any of this sounds confusing or like a bad idea, I've never done anything like this before and whenever I search for advice it's for the artist and not the person making the scripts. I'm not a very good artist and while I'm willing to do some background characters, my voice acting is subpar at the moment. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll answer the best I can. Thanks in advance.

Oh, and if this isn't the right place to post this, could someone please point me in the right direction?

Your post is confusing. It's hard really to understand exactly what you're asking.

I think you'll get more responses if you lay out exactly what you would need from the people you hire.

Ex: You're on a screenwriting site. How much are you asking a writer to produce for you in a standard month? $400 is close to a typical asking price for one short. (It varies widely.) Your episodes range between 6 and 20 pages. That in mind, you might find someone willing to write 1 episode a month for the $400. Maybe. Just spitballing here. But, if you outline your needs, you might get a conversation started...

I've no idea what animation costs, but again, if you describe your needs, someone on here may know.

No, sorry I thought I made that clear. I've already got the rough drafts for most of the episodes written. I'm asking about the pay rate for voice actors and animators.

I wasn't really sure where else to go about this.

I've used Fiverr in the past to hire Voice Actors...

You could just as easily find animators on that site.

Creators vary from super cheap to very expensive so you could find some kind of a sweet spot.

Thank you. Just one more question. If I were to do a casting call and an Indigogo to fund my project, how do I go about doing that? I know that people won't give me any money if I don't show them proof that their money won't be wasted and I do have concept art but I'm not a very good artist. Do I show people the first few pages of my script?

You'll need to provide quite a bit more than that if you want to achieve your goal.
You need to put in concerted effort, and do your homework and prep to launch a successful crowdfunding campaign.

I'm pretty sure Warren won't mind me posting this:

This was for a Short Film.
Look at the detailed information provided and the cast of contributors.

Just Google 'preparing your crowdfunding campaign' to start with to hone up on what you need.

Thank you, LC. I think I get what I have to do now. Though, it will involve switching gears a bit.
