Little Cindy's Pink Christmas by Michael Godby - Short, Drama, Family - An empty-nester overcomes loneliness, holiday season melancholy and the grief from a long-passed loved one by confronting an unfulfilled wish. 8 pages - pdf format
Michael, my kindred friend who also received inspiration for a Christmas story from a Facebook post This is just my kind of story and I love it. So much bitter sweetness in the memory of Little Cindy’s childhood and finally making that dream come true as the adult Cynthia. It goes without saying that your writing is flawless as always but this one really hits home. I’ve been in Cynthia’s shoes with so many memories of Christmases past. Some of my childhood wishes have become a reality, others not yet. Here’s to all of us finding our “Pink Christmas” this year.
Merry Christmas and thank you for sharing this lovely and touching holiday tale.

Wow! This is definitely a poignant little Xmas tale of fulfilment. I just wonder why it took Cynthia so long to fulfill her dream of buying a pink tree. Maybe it was the only time little Cindy appeared in her thoughts. Who cares about that, since this is a lovely short story- the kind you read to your children at Christmas. If there was a Xmas chart I’m sure this story would rise above all the others. I would love to see this one produced. It’ll be worth it, I’m sure.
