Kevin is trying to feel his way around. He managed to get into the second round of the tournament...no idea what script. He's leaving reviews. It's a start. Takes time to get comfortable. |

Great idea, kev!
Welcome aboard, Kevin!
If you're looking for a place to share your work and improve your writing, you've come to the right place.
It takes time to hone one's craft, so focus on writing what you like, enjoy every small success, never feel discouraged and take everyone's comments with a grain of salt.
It'll help if you introduced you a little and tell us a bit more about you.

I hope this makes you feel all warm and cosy inside, Kevin. Yes, there really are people here that love you.
I'm not one of them... I'm just saying. |

So glad to see you back at screenwriting a little! I think it's great and even though I have not read your second round story.. really like the first round. |

Okay, I'm intrigued Kevin S. It says you joined SS in 2006.
Perhaps life sidelined your main goal for a while.? Great to see you reviewing the Tournament entries!

Anyone who's seen Final Space knows that Kevin's are the worst. But I'm willing to make an exception here.
Welcome to the site! Or welcome back? |

Hey Matthew,
I was brave alright....Not. I walked myself to my own execution lol. I guess thats brave in its own way lol. I should have just chilled out and learned the process of this site a little better. Thanks for saying hello and stuff. Sorry it took so long to reply. I keep forgetting to check the box for replies and Kevin had to walk me thru to this thread . Im slowly getting the hang of it I think. Thanks !

I was not only referring to you putting an entry in - but also getting stuck in with reading and reviewing others entries. A lot of newbies put entries in to these things and then don't get involved - no reads, no reviews nothing. After this tournament ends, all of the scripts will be forgotten (good and bad) - but people will remember those who contributed reviews and got involved - so well done on getting stuck in. Don't fret if you get bad reviews - It's hard but after a while you get used to distancing yourself from your work - I.E reviewers are critiquing that particular script, not you personally. No one on this site (no matter how they go about reviewing, or how they come across) wants to put off or discourage other writers - we all want to help, honest I have only been on here since October 2018 - and if you compare the scripts I wrote then, to the ones I write now - The change is phenomenal, and it's all down to this place. I'm waffling - Keep on doing what you are doing, listen to everyone's advice (Note I said "listen to" not "take") and keep writing - you will be amazed at the progress you make. |
