"X" could mean a 10wk challenge, (X as in roman numeral)
Furthermore, the scripts must have either ancient Romans or Greeks in them.

"X" is also a shortened form for not only "Crossing" but also for Christ. It's also used in "X" marks the spot, and used to lead off a badly spelled "Xtra." So maybe we have an xtra long short where you have to incorporate Christ criss-crossing the Middle East to find out who stole his stupid grail.

Arrh, that's half the fun, even if completely useless to do.
Having seen the three week OWC a while ago, with the Star Trek theme, I really hope it doesn't go down that route. Hope you keep it simple and short.
