I love words and the fact that when the page is blank...there's nothing there until words are formulated in my brain. Those thoughts...rushing through my viens and out my finger tips, find "life" on the page.

Except for Phil's and Pia's, who used very memorable titles, I didn't know who wrote what until I sent them off to iScript. The ironic thing is that I had expected my oldest boy to take this very seriously and the youngest to blow it off. It turned out the other way around. The $5.00 to read a script was a great incentive to my money grubbing eight year old who walked away from this with $25.00. My eldest son read only two full scripts and the first two pages of the remaining scripts.
In short, the scripts were selected by the boys. Was the selection process fair? No, it wasn't. At the last minute, I decided to pull the three scripts I had selected from the iScript pile because the boys were interested in listening to the selected script and I wanted the selected script to be appropriate for the boys to listen to. Also, in another bit of unfair irony, Phil's script was placed at the bottom of the 8 year old's read pile as I didn't expect him to read through all of them. Pia's wasn't even in consideration for selection for reasons that I'll leave up to everyone's imagination.
For those of you who say, "It's rigged." You are right, sort of. It is a selected script, not a winning script. As for iScript's selection, it is based upon which work they feel will best present their talents.

Don, your boys learned a good lesson in working and their lessons will prove themselves when your younger son comes home with a $25 prostitute and your older boy comes home with a $10 prostitute. We'll see who has the last laugh...
