I also love George Carlin. For those who don’t know who Tim Minchin is, every time I go to the grocery store, I get this stupid song in my head:

Wow, this is a hard one... Michael Mcintyre is a genius, but I'm a real fan of both Frankie Boyle and Jack Dee (both UK comedians - search them, they are geniuses). Dara O'Briain is very funny as well.

I've seen Tim Minchin at a couple of benefit gigs. Does he ave a DVD out?

You can also find most of his songs on YouTube if you do a search. Definitely worth a watch.

Cheers,
Tim.

Yeah, he has two. So Live and So Fucking Rock, but they are similar.

If you want more info, there is some great stuff on http://justfuckinggoogleit.com/ about Tim.

EDIT: Tim! You beat me to it! I think my post is better though. Not being arrogant, but yeeeaaaah. Plus you should be in bed young man...

Does anybody actually find Demetri Martin funny?

The guy has this oddly uncomfortable delivery and I'm on the fence. His actual stand up special was below average but his CD "These Are Jokes" was above average.

I liked him when he was in small doses on "The Daily Show", but I'm not really a fan anymore.

For anyone who likes Tim Minchin check out this documentary:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1297297/

A camera crew follow him around before he has made a name for himself and we see his journey as he is on the brink of success. Really interesting to see the difference between his real self and his stage persona. It's worth watching just so see him with short hair.
