Didn't we make contact in 1948, but the US Government has been covering up the events of Roswell while using technology from the crash site to develop the Internet?

Or something. I think Da Vinci is involved somewhere too. And Tom Hanks' hair.

Anyway, happy new year to everyone on the SS Boards. I hope 2010 brings you all you hope for, professionally and personally.

It's 730 am January I 2010.

Had a quiet night - worked from 6 till 9 then home and read the SK book for awhile(damn, its good).
We don't drink or party anymore so it was just another day this morn.

All the best to my SS buddies and have a safe New Year.

Happy New Year everyone!!!!

It was a quite one for me this year. My daughter went over to her boyfriend’s place to party with him and his friends. My wife went to a party with some friends but was home by about 12.30. While me and the boys stayed home and watched a bunch of South Park episodes. Damn those guys are good writers. They always make me laugh and they’re usually on the money with their social commentary.
I also realized for the first time this morning that it's the start of a new decade. If the last decade was the noughties (although that really never caught on as a saying IMO) what's this decade gonna be called?

About to head out to watch the fireworks on the Thames, so thought I'd wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Here's to a peaceful, profitable and successful 2010, full of lots of great writing!

That's usually how it starts, baby. Then Mr. Daniels and Mr. White Russian get involved and it's all downhill from there. Are you doing the Podcast tomorrow/today?

At any rate: Godt Nytår, smukke!

I don't do hard liquor except for that pesky leftover eggnog rum. I'm a beer person!

Hmm.  Maybe.  If not, at least in another ten years time people can go back to calling the decades the twenties, thirties and forties etc.

All is quite on New Year's Day. I just took the dogs out for a walk and hardly anyone is out and everything seems so still.

I know I am a bit late, but  I just wanted to come here and wish everyone a happy new year. I have been trying to be on SS more, but have been busy with work and I recently started my 3rd script. Hopefully, I will be able to get on more and read some more scripts. I hope all of you are doing well.

Bit late, but while looking up something online, came across this - it's from Neil Gaiman's blog, originally posted in 2001 and repeated on New Year's Day ...

May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art -- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.

Thought it was quite nice thought for the year ahead ...
