When writing we all know how hard it is to tug on the heartstrings. Is there a particular movie scene that gets you teary-eyed? It'd be nice if you could find it on Youtube and post it here. This one gets me every time. |

The final five minutes of Stand by Me always chokes me. The two lines in particular which get me are:
"As time went on, we saw less and less of Teddy and Vern, until eventually they became just two more faces in the hall..."
The sad truth of growing up is that you will lose contact with friends, friends who at one point in time were your world. Friends who you went on adventures with which you will never forget.
"I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?"
So, so true. Makes me sad just thinking about it.

I took too much X as a youth... virtually any sad (or extremely happy) scene can have me fighting back the tears. |

I cried at many scenes in About Time. But for all the wrong reasons.
The cold realisation I could rented something else, anything, brought tears to my eyes. Something with Chuck Norris in it.
The fact I'd have to bring the thing back and not just chuck it out the window or down the loo. |

"Drive" made me cry after I realized I lost 30 mins of my life, then I turned it off and got drunk.

I always have a bit of a sook at the end of 'Glory' and also 'Friday Night Lights' when they lose. And Ned Beatty's love scene in 'Deliverance' never fails to make my eyes water... |

Quoted from Stevie And Ned Beatty's love scene in 'Deliverance' never fails to make my eyes water. |
Love scene? What do you do for a man hug? Poor old Ned Beatty. I've never been able to look at him since without thinking about him running away in the forest with his pants round his ankles. |

I cried a lot at Never Let Me Go. You should see it if you haven't. It's a great movie. |

Okay I admit it. I'm a sap. The NotebookWhen eldery Allie remembers her husband Noah...only to relaspe and panic not knowing who Noah is. The anguish causes her to be sedated and him to have a stroke. Then they died together. |

This scene doesn't pack its full punch without the tension of the drowning beforehand, but Harris' performance here gets me every time (SPOILERS FOR 'THE ABYSS'):
--
If there's something that makes me flat-out weep, though, it's one very small, simple line:
"So. Five-card stud, nothing wild...and the sky's the limit."
Aw. Gettin' emotional just thinking about it. Hahah. |

Eternal Sunshine always gets to me. Doesn't matter how many times I see it.
