Seeing this, I was compelled to find the script and read it. Dave, you know I am a fan girl and this just serves to confirm that! What a marvelous script! I was hooked from the start. My favorite character? The Narrator. Loved his dry and comical comments. Favorite line? “Bum F* k Alabama”. Because we just returned from an Alabama vacation. We rent a beach house there every year. LOL. Congrats on garnering a semi-finalist position in this prestigious venue. Sending my very best wishes to you. You are so very deserving of every accolade.
Your forever fan girl,
Kathy

Thanks for the read and kind words Kathy. Glad you enjoyed it
Not for nothing, but me, Mark Moore and Mike Kospiah his the quarters with our thriller/horror The Followers. Didn’t advance to the semis, but my first showing, like, anywhere.
I have made the Finals in PAGE 7 times with 4 different scripts. The best I've ever done though is the SILVER award in the Comedy category.
Yes..."slipped" into the finals! HA! You, once again, kicked the door down, tossed the script in and said, "Dave is in the house." Probably didn't even bother putting your name on the title page. They should just know.

Ha. I more like Susan Lucci. Nominated 7 times with no wins
Who cares. Susan Lucci? More like Susan Lucrative. Congratulations on your successes and may you ride them to lucrativity. If that wasn't a word before, it is now!

Congrats, Dave! I never knew how many accolades you've accumulated until I scanned your bio over at Coverfly. Holy hell!
Are you repped, yet? Or have a manager? I would hope someone with that type of resume would be intriguing to agents.
James
No, not repped - haven't been able to parlay that into representation.
On the bright side - I have one feature in pre-production (we have about a half a million in funding, a director and producer - but the strikes have put the kabash on it moving forward right now

Wow Dave! Congratulations on the pre-production of the film. Which script is it? Where is it being filmed? Did you ever resolve the thing with the film in India? Very impressive. And you're such a nice helpful guy too.

Thanks, Pia:
The script is The Beginning of The End and The End (although it will have a different title).
Will be filmed in Seattle.
Did not resolve the thing in India - lot of correspondence but they had a legal team of eight (two firms) and I just decided was not worth the financial investment it would take.

Holy crap, you kept that one a secret! Hoping it all goes ahead soon for you.
