I noticed Don has written in red letters "A drum..." up in the left corner on the portal page. Can we get some more details please? Don...Phil?

I haven't written anything since July, I'm thinking I'd like to try an OWC again.

If there's going to be one, I hope it is announced when first so everyone gets a chance to find out about it, but also for anticipation to build. Then we need a week to write and a week to read, so it would be good if this could happen soon...before Halloween.

Ah, but a drum followed directly by an ellipsis implies the possibility of bigger and better things to come... like a triangle or a sitar.

Haven't we had such a clue in the past?  Didn't it relate to Shakespear?  Hmmm, can't remember, but I think...

Last few years the 'drum' reference has heralded the OWC - there was even speculation it was related to Shakespeare 'a drum, a drum! Macbeth doth come'. It's just like a giant teaser   isn't it? Looking forward to see what the Dog and the Don come up with.

Phil sounds like Sam Spade sprouting dialogue from a Film Noir.   Is that a clue?

Oh, I know. It's the sign of the OWC coming... but the constant mentioning of percussion instruments (besides just mentioning "A drum..." is where I sense that may have a bit to do with the contest itself. Just my crazy conspiracy theories, though. =)
