Sadly the 'love story' kept getting in the way.

If I was a genius I'd figure that out and get an entry down in 7 hours.

I'm only halfway done. Adding the sloth to the mix slowed things down significantly.

Submitted. Less than 10 pages, but, I ended up giving the sloth a one page monologue, so that is equivalent to an extra three pages...  

Wasn't going to enter - but looking forward to some reads so I managed to blow something out after golf this morning...

Yep, that's the way it's done. Quick round of golf, and then whip something up for the OWC.
Excellent news!

Typical OWC for me. Can't think up anything till about the middle of the week, then it's a race to get a half-decent story down, written, and submitted before the counter runs out.

I got it done though.

Not sure if it was the new laptop or I was just blind but found a " read aloud" option. Very good way to find mistakes that have been missed.

Congratulation to everyone who managed to sate their lust for OWC and squeezed one in. Hard luck to those overcome by pride and had none of their ideas survive the test of their harsh high standards.
And I have a message to those greedy sons of guns who wants yet another mug  >
I envy your talent, dedication, and loyalty to OWC.  But no more mugs for you. This time around you will feel my wrath.
I'll make sure that the sloth in me won't take control at the reviewing phase like it always do. My hunger for tasty, short tales will take precedence.

*sighs* Now that I'm done with this cheesy comment, I'll go get some rest. It's 6:20 am here right now. I've been polishing the entry since 2:30. *Yawns*
