I writing a script where a prisoner is interviewed by law enforcement.  Does anyone know the name of this room?  Right now, I'm just referring to it as an interview room, but that just doesn't sound right.

Yeah Phil, I think it's an interrogation room as well.

I was thinking interview room.  You really don't need to interrogate someone who's already been convicted, y'know?

I'm thinking along the lines where the prisoner would have a one-on-one conversation with someone.  Like a lawyer, where privacy is desired.

If you believe the rules of "movie world", these conversations often take place within the confines of a prison cell.

The scene is actually for my sequel to The Burnout (if you folks haven't read it, read it now!).  In the scene I'm writing, Whitey (still with the FBI) visits Nick Schroeder in prison.

This was a pretty quick a fun read. Format, story, characters, everything was great.

The only thing I found was that there was a typo at the end of page 2:

Each of my calls would documented. - Shouldn't there be a "be" in there?

Anyway, I don't have much time to review, but like I said, it was a great read!

The place Mike describes is called 'Visitation Area' in 'The life of David Gale' script.

In the script I'm working on, it would be a one-on-one talk, in private.  The big visitation room wouldn't be appropriate.

I'd say use either interview or interrogation room.  If I saw either one of those I would probably picture the same thing in my head anyway.  Is there anything special about the room that you're planning on describing, or is it just a table with a couple of chairs?

I'm a little better than a third of the way through the script (first draft).

In this sequel, Whitey learns a little bit about what the Citizens had in mind for those from Project: Interface.  It's not just another opportunity for Whitey to kick ass.
