I don't watch that much, but I do have a few favorites:

-Law & Order: SVU (f'n hillarious)
-The Office
-Rescue Me (though the last season was a bit too melodramatic)
-South Park
-Family Guy (though I feel the new seasons rely too heavily on references)
-Spongebob Squarepants (anyone who says this is strictly a kids' show is painfully misinformed)
-Futurama (sadly defunct)
-Stella (sadly probably defunct)

Good, I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes it. I always feel like a nerd when I tell someone I like that show because most of the people are like, "You do know ghosts don't exist, right?"

The West Wing (no one can write dialogue like Aaron Sorkin)
Prison Break (thank God for iTunes' downloads)
Smallville (guilty pleasure)
The Apprentice (some of the most educated people can be so dumb... yet make millions)
Mutant X (though it is cancelled)

there are many that I like to watch.. but these are my top faves at the moment.

Do they have to be currently on television? If so lets see...

South Park
Attack of the Show (It's more of a talk show but it's on television and is a show)
X-Play (Same as the above)

That's it, I honestly don't have a lot of time to watch TV. I bought Trailer Park Boys on DVD but it's only on Showcase here in Canada and well I can't stand that channel. It's a poor man's porn network.

House - funny, and the least-corny meidcal soapie ever.
OC - Same as above (without medical). And Autumn Reeser....
South Park - SBS CANCELLED IT!
The Simpsons - I used to be a  religious wtacher, but lately...
Medium - Something about this show is undeniably creepy....

Fine I have watched it, Robin Black was on it (Dude's got a girls voice and is a rock star.... I have his album.) However, I think he is dating a transsexual, what has the world come to when our beloved Canadian rockers turn to men in woman costumes.

That was either that show or another one on the same channel, this is going back to last when I had no job and was a futon potato (I upgraded to a futon ha-ha couches died with the mullet. I had one of those too.)

Hmm...I like Family Guy, although I haven't seen it for a while.

I've never seen Survivor, CSI, 24, Lost, Sopranos, House, Alias, etc etc etc.  My mother raised me against TV, for better or worse.

I will say that I think Star Trek: The Next Generation is the finest television show ever created.  Totally unmatched for quality in all respects, I think...one could argue production values, of course, but other than that.

yeah, the house i lived in during my Junior High School years - had a pair ghosts in it... they loved the fuck with me and my sister. I'd be on the computer and feel a breath on the back of my neck... turn around and no one would be there. footsteps...the whole thing. they never bothered my parents...and never knew whether to believe us or not

Sometimes I want to stay the night in a house that is supposedly haunted just to see what it feels like and get the experience.

And if I like it, I might live there

My all time favourite TV shows are -

Will & Grace
Friends
Six Feet Under
Roseanne
Scare Tactics
ER

.. and then any documentary on the Discovery Channel.

I'm sure there've been other great TV shows in the past that I've enjoyed, but I can't stand to watch them religiously, what with all the annoying commercials/TV ads/infomercials and stuff. I'm more of a movie person!!!

The Office (especially since expanding the supporting roles)
The OC (though the last season has been crap)
Entourage

Top Gear UK
Stella
Curb Your Enthusiasm

and of course I still miss The Three Stooges, Undeclared, Arrested Development, and a little Beavis and Butthead once in awhile.

Being in Britain, we have some of the dullest shows which is why i like the fact that they show American shows. These are my faves-

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Angel
One Tree Hill
Lost
Tru Calling(should never have got cancelled after 1 season)
My Wife And Kids
The Fresh Prince of Bel Air(ancient, i know, but quality)

There are some British shows i like which are-

Doctor Who
Eastenders
The Bill
Only Fools and Horses(also ancient but still quality)

That 70's Show
Tru Calling(I agree with Shepard, should never have been cancelled)
One Tree Hill(Hilarie Burton is so hot!!!)
Will and Grace

Ooh, I know I'll forget at least one but...

Lost - The King of drama
Friends - The King of sitcom (There will never be a sitcom better, just okay substitutes)
Scrubs - One of the best, second to Friends though but just
Joey - Spin Off that's not too great but I still like it
That 70's Show - I guess it's just funny
The Fresh Prince of Bel Air - Will Smith, c'mon!
The Simpsons - Starting to go downhill slowly
Futurama - Better than the most recent of Simpsons
Spongebob Squarepants - It's NOT just for kids
Top Gear - Just really cool and funny
South Park - Never really watch it but I liked the ones I saw

As I said, I probably forgot a couple but...

I may be an idiot, but I'm no idiot.

I agree with Bates. Jake 2.0 was the worst show on the box unless you count Dead like me. Im telling you, in America, to every 10 quality programs theres at least one bad one yet thay cancel the good shows like Angel and Tru Calling.

If they even think about cancelling One Tree Hill, I will SCREAM!!!

the Simpsons
Mad About You (a Comedy dialog model)
Lost
Alias
The 4400

Forget about French TV stuff espacially Nouvelle Star, our French American Idol

I watch all of my TV on DVD because I dislike commercials. The shows I like and have liked are:

The Simpsons
Friends
The Twilight Zone
Stargate SG-1
Tales From The Crypt
Mystery Science Theatre 3000
X-Files
CSI
Whose Line Is It Anyway? (yeah, I've watched this one on TV, but it's more of a guilty pleasure)

I personally despise "reality" TV. I find it to be incredibly unrealistic since they always tend to find the most childish people imaginable. Then again, I also see it as a big game show, and I dislike game shows as well.

Ahhh, the sweetness that is improv.  I need to get one of mty troupes shows up here soon.  We're actually pretty good if I do say so myself.  And I do.

Among my favorites are Lost, Arrested Development, I used to like th O.C. but now it sucks,South Park, and O'Grady.

Re: Whose Line is It Anyway?

I love this show. It makes a deliberate mockery of game shows in the midst of all it does. They assign random points to whatever they want to at the time and the winner is preselected for the most part depending on the final bit. Sometimes the bits work really really well which is a testament to the actual talent behind the often mediocre Drew Carey Show. Sometimes they fall flat, but it's not often. I usually laugh more often at this show more than any other (or even all the others put together). I know it was an import, but fortunately, the improv side makes it original.

Whenever whose line is it anyway was on i watched it. They had a british version but it wasnt as good.

I need to shed some light on the networks in America. How come they cancel all the good shows over there when guys like me go out of our way to watch them. Here's the list:

Angel
Tru Calling
Joey

Now they are considering cancelling One Tree Hill after the fourth season. This cannot be Happening!!!

I don't watch much TV but I'm currently tuning into Kyle XY. Lol. This Series really suprised me. I thought it'd be cheap and predictable but it's intriguing and strangely addictive. I watched Masters of Horror during the first season and plan to watch the second. I Watch the old show Freddy's Niightmare's on AolTv too. Also Supernatural is cool.

I'm still desperately wishing for a Tru Calling revival. Damn you Fox!!!!!

I don't really watch any shows religiously anymore, except for The Office.

I was probably one of the biggest Simpsons fans out there, I've watched every episode of seasons 1-10 at least twice, and some of them probably 5-10 times. But I stopped watching a few yeas back. I hate what it's become. It's like a parody of its former self, a burlesque. It's so cheesy and exaggerated, its humour almost resembling Scary Movie and spoof films like that.

My favourite shows on TV:

The Office (both versions)
Extras
South Park
Family Guy
The Shield

And the cancelled ones:

Action
My So Called life
Freaks and Geeks

"The Flux capacitor. It's what makes time travel possible."

The Mute (short)
The Pool (short)
Tall Tales (short)

I can't believe people are going on about Lost. How come everyone finds that show so interesting? I seriously hate that show, like Spider-Man 2 I have absolutely no idea why everyone likes it so much. It's boring, confusing, frustrating and way over the top in terms of its drama.

Cheers, Chism.

Quoted from George Willson
Re: Whose Line is It Anyway?

I love this show. It makes a deliberate mockery of game shows in the midst of all it does. They assign random points to whatever they want to at the time and the winner is preselected for the most part depending on the final bit. Sometimes the bits work really really well which is a testament to the actual talent behind the often mediocre Drew Carey Show. Sometimes they fall flat, but it's not often. I usually laugh more often at this show more than any other (or even all the others put together). I know it was an import, but fortunately, the improv side makes it original.

This show would probably be my favorite too, both the american version and the english version. Australia has a similar type show called "thank god your here". Well it's fairly different in set up but still follows the improv, four contestants and meaningless points system.

And chism i remember a day when u loved Lost. I like Lost but i've missed a whole lot of episodes.

As for other favorite shows:

Harvey Birdman
The Power of One
Now and Again(They never gave the show a chance)
and
SVU

Shorts:
I Named Him Thor
Footloose, Cut Loose
Tainted Milk
Marshmallows
Confucius & The Quest For Nessie

I agree with Bates. Jake 2.0 was the worst show on the box unless you count Dead like me. Im telling you, in America, to every 10 quality programs theres at least one bad one yet thay cancel the good shows like Angel and Tru Calling.

If they even think about cancelling One Tree Hill, I will SCREAM!!!

Dead Like me is/was a great show and another great show i forgot to include was Freaks and Geeks, why do they cancel all the good shows.

Yes, it's true that I used to like Lost. Then, I became sane again, so yeah. It was kinda cancelled out. And Ape, I think you need to let Now and Again go. Yes, they cancelled it and it was a good show, but please, move on. It was like five years ago. It's not healthy.

Cheers, Chism.
