Does anyone have any predictions for the much anticipated sequel to Zeitgeist?
The first one was a massive infogasm -- will the second one also be something worth nerding out to? Hopefully. Icke's new 4 DVD set "Beyond The Cutting Edge" keeps crowds on the edge of their seats for eight hours, and it presents the same genre of info, so I assume the new Zeitgeist -- at only two hours -- will be able to keep the info coming at a good pace like the first one. That's my prediction. I want to know what everyone else thinks.

I have a list of documentary films that I love which I'm curious to know what other SS intellectuals think about them. A lot of these are available on DVD, but many of the filmmakers are glad that online copies are available ... because money isn't their primary interest, and that's one of the reasons why these films rock so awesomely.

ZEITGEIST http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ Every freshman in College should be shown this movie! it would help to turn humanity into more reasonable, rational individuals, less affected by outdated myths, and corrupt politics! Definitely the defining documentary of the age!
HACKING DEMOCRACY http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4762159260759486531& HACKING DEMOCRACY shows proof that the American Republican Party paid Diebold (the manufacturer of the voting equipment) to allow them to install a virus into the memory cards. The virus was an executable file that re-arranged the votes so that Bush would win both times. The documentary also shows proof that the people in the government (who benefitted from the rigged elections) do everything they can to suppress this information.

Regardless, this is an important three hour lecture.
A documentary called AMERICA: FREEDOM TO FASCISM was made by Aaron Russo, who has previously won a Grammy, a Tony, and an Emmy, throughout his career. And he has made films that won three Golden Globes, and his films have been nominated for six Academy Awards, also known as Oscars. Russo is a recognized and qualified documentarian, and he died while trying to release this film that reveals, among other things, that NAZIs have been hiding and plotting and are trying to take over the USA. Well that is an amazing set of Documentaries to be watching, all of them clearly among the most important social commentaries of the 21st century so far.
I am lucky enough to have seen them all, You see my sister works in the local Mental Institution and they are always showing these movies in the "special" wing. Sometimes I go along to watch them as my local cinema's will not show films as cutting edge as these.
I have had to stop going however as I have been creating a fuss. It seems many of the patients in the "special" wing have been taking these films far too seriously and have got it into their heads that I am a lizard, sent from the stars to save them from hell. They have built a shrine to me and everything, one of them even made a statue of me out of mashed potato!!
The hospital have come to realize that as important these works of art are they probably should not be shown to certain patients as they for some reason actually believe them to be real documentaries and not just paranoid junk from the minds of madmen.

I don't know about Icke-- I think I've just heard he's a crackpot, but don't discount all UFO info as being crackpot.
There's a gentleman who lives in Big Valley and he was a fighter pilot in the war. A write up was done on him in a local paper. I know he's not a crackpot-- just an old timer with an interesting story to tell.
Mr. Reischman says he's seen flying saucers. In one encounter, ground radar operators steered them away. He said, "You would get close to it...and they would say, 'Break off, you can't go near that one.'"
He's not alone in his sightings. The National Aviation Reporting Center on anomalous phenomena documents 3,500 sightings from military, civilian and commercial pilots, reported since the beginning of powered flight.
Now granted, many of the sightings are probably just that-- unidentified, but not actual saucer craft, but when a pilot sees it up close and personal, you have to wonder.
It's possible too that the saucer craft is "our" technology, but it's been hidden.
My husband knows personally of two friends from Vancouver who purposely went down to check out Area 51 and indeed, they were turned back-- couldn't get near the place.
Sometimes you just get people trying to sell conspiracy theory ideas, but I know too that a lot of strange things do happen in this world; so I don't just automatically discount everything I hear either.

YO SANDRA: Whenever mainstream media talks about Icke, they call him a crackpot. I will certainly look for it. It sounds interesting.
Chris Everard's docs are free online. His web-site has a copyright notice and a statement against piracy; however, I know for a fact that he is glad that these videos were uploaded, and he will never report them.
My wife was doing a course at school and they went on a field trip to a mosk and the tour guide gave everyone in the class a Quran and a copy of The Loose Change DVD. I watched it and found some of it interesting but I also found a lot of it very unbelievable. I understand that there have been a number of different versions of Loose Change released because people keep debunking the things it says, so the makers have to keep editing it and then re-releasing it. As for The Global Warming Swindle, I watched it awhile back when I was going through a phase of researching the subject and that failed to convince that global warming isn’t man made. The evidence suggesting that global warming is man made is irrefutable from what I've read.
If you want to see some good documentaries, I suggest "The Root of All Evil" featuring Richard Dawkins. Or "Waco: The Rules of Engagement."

They were quoting things from the news, things like "the arctic ice cap is melting. The Arctic will be open water. The last few years warmer winters prove that a global climatic change is happening" and so on and so on.
The interesting thing revealed at the end of the article was that all those quotes were from the news in 1922!!!

As far as Swedes and their news go, they're not exactly like some fringe country that spew random stuff for ratings sake. They are very science based people/country.
I was more or less talking about how it has absolutely nothing to do with the purpose of this board.
It's even more aggravating when you factor in those who jump into this type of thread and this type only, and probably haven't thought about writing in quite some time.

Upon reflection, Mike, you're probably right to some degree. While I don't post exclusively on the contentious threads (I do talk about other stuff too) I do engage mainly in chat related stuff and my time would be better spent writing reviews or engaging more in discussions about the craft of writing. Not to mention writing itself. I need to be more focused. I'm sick of discussing religion and politics. Anyway, if I was serious about those topics there're probably more appropriate sites than SS for discussing them. Point taken.

That's the best way to research. Every time they knock out something that's proven wrong, they've gotten so much new information between the releases that their newer release makes a stronger case. The first release provoked a debate, and the debate revealed a lot of new info, and the "Final Cut" makes a very strong case.

A majority of scientists believe that global warming is caused by 187 year sunspot cycles. Limiting carbon emissions is still a good idea because of the health problems it would solve. Well, there's a difference between "pollution" and "carbon emissions." But both cause problems for lungs.
Political policies on the topic of "Greenhouse Gases" are widely based on the conclusions of the IPCC report ... which was largely influenced by self-serving money-grubbing pseudoscientists like Mann, and "Mr. I won't release my methods Hansen".
Of course the robots suggest 'peer reviewed journals.' You've gotta ask yourself who are the "peers"? Who controls the "peers"?
Look at the work of Maurice Cotterell. Gore's movie won a Nobel Prize, so most folks take it as gospel truth that carbon emissions cause global warming. The Nobel institution, like any institution, has its flaws and makes mistakes. Gore's movie is propaganda in support of an agenda. And it goes against the hard science.
The politicians will tell you that C02 levels drive the earth's temperature, whereas what's closer to the truth is that earth's temperatures drive C02 levels.
The scientists leading the CO2 hysteria have spent the majority of their careers promoting said hysteria. If the CO2 contribution is discovered to be of minimal contribution, they lose not only their funding, but any shred of credibility they may have had.
Then ignore it and let the people who know the topic discuss the topic.
I'm glad that he pointed out that the quotes were from 1922. He made a great point by posting that. Carbon emissions actually do more to cool the atmosphere than to warm it, so the dogma they're spewing currently was believed to be true in 1922.

You need to be informed before you can write literature of any merit. These types of documentaries helped me write many of my scripts. Threads sharing information sources are the whole point of places where writers gather for discussion.
I can't believe we are arguing about stuff in a thread that Alan started and it doesn't even involve Alan!!!

The topic of this thread is that I would like to see some fair reviews of those films on SS. One of those documentaries -- SECRET SPACE 2 -- does cover the reptilian topic. Oh ... FREEDOM ROAD covers it better. I believe what Icke says about Reptilians. He makes a solid case. And if you're going to mock me for my belief, remember what Einstein said about condemnation without investigation.
