OK, James, I'll guess either Hayride or Big Bad Bug for you.
I'm not a very good guesser though.
Pia, what's with the outburst there? Are you tilting a few back? Yes, you are a very good and reqested reader and reviewer! How's the rewrite coming along?

Outburst? No, I'm not tilting anything back. I just meant I've read a few of them prior to them being posted. Some of them without a title so I'm confused too about who wrote what.
I'm working hard on the Roach script. Trying to get it finished by the weekend.
Ah, here it is. I was going to reveal all this morning if this thread had not appeared!
As has been noted, quite a few of the writers have now outed themselves - the only one that I guessed really was Alffy, who I believe wrote "The Boy Who Cried". When I found out who wrote "Untitled", you could have knocked me down with a feather - I was firmly convinced he'd written another one altogether! I really am not good at guessing!
Part of the fun of this, using a false identity, is having people claim you wrote something other than your actual entry, or seeing who they thought wrote yours.
I made a conscious effort to write mine a bit differently than the other shorts I've posted here - but did drop in a clue, for those who wished to find it. Actually I dropped in two, one a mcguffin - but I realised last night that this was incorrect and instead of leading the reader to the wrong writer, it was in fact just meaningless!
Well, I wrote Festivous of Fear in one take, no corrections, just to see if I could complete a project, as I have been on one major creative dry spell. While I'll be the first to admit it's no literary masterpiece, I feel it stands up as complete thought. Also, it just felt plain good to actually write THE END.
Quoted from Baltis.
If they all could've been like this, maybe I wouldn't have wasted so much of my time reading "Festivus of Fear" "Mayor Vamp" and all the other cat squirt scripts.
Is this the list of writers who outed themselves so far?

I am quite keen to post some responses to the reads I got, so may step from out of the shadows later today - in which case, if anyone wants to take a stab at guessing which one it was, now may be your last chance!
Stevie said there were subtle Beatles references in his script - in which case, they must have been very subtle, as I didn't notice any in any of the scripts except for one, which he said he didn't write (the one with killer roos). Unless he was lying, of course!
As I mention in my read on that, that kind of thing leaves me cold! Dancing ducks is one thing, talking worms quite another! Also I thought the little girl killing the bird to be horrible. I dislike animal cruelty in films. Don't mind people killing each other, but I draw the line at them killing animals!
I didn't write the one with the talking pumpkin either!

I know which one Stevie wrote! I don't think I recall any Beatles refs though...
I think both you, Jeff, and Stevie had some issues with it, didn't you?
Just to say, as I do on the thread, that the story was written specifically for the OWC - the suggestions that it was a pre-written story with Halloween refs tacked on is incorrect.
Good, bad or indifferent it may have been - but it was written exclusively for the OWC - my desire was to write something for the challenge, not just enter something! I would hope that few, if any, of the other entries were pre-written as this was not the point of the test.
Yes, Niles, I did have issues with it, mainly because it didn't try to meet the challenge IMO. It was very, very dark and mature, and in no way was suitable for kids, nor would kids be interested in it, because it didn't deal with anything kiddish (how's that for a word?).
We've gone back and forth about the Festival thing, but I just don't think a few of you understand my point, even. A Festival is defintely an event. It has nothing to do with celebrating a Holiday or theme. It is something people go to.
