For a few years I started doing a short TV series, it got rejected then I continued and produced a full series. I have nearly 25 episodes of rough draft episodes of an edgy sci-fi drama thriller series. But by the time I full rewrite it, it will be 20 episodes, but I want to reduce it by 16 episodes.

Any useful feedback is good.

Wayne,

I think you need to flesh out this request.

I don't know what that means. But i'll rephrase the question.

I have rough drafts of 20+ episodes of a sci-fi drama TV spec series that started as a short TV series. Because of the different networks and broadcasting terms, like streaming, cable, etc. Upon the rewrite. What's my best option of episode development between 12-22. anything lower than 12 episodes be ruin the characters, storylines and plot.

Wayne, this is a WIP thread. Why don't you post an episode or even part of, for feedback, or upload to Don. This is what I'd suggest.

It's rare for a show to be developed much beyond the pilot. Too much changes for it to be worth writing more than a couple episodes at most.

I can understand why developing a TV series past a pilot seems challenging and rare. But at that time beginning this type of work. doing research as I was writing. I'm just looking on how to format it now into standard episodes. I will produce a pilot then.

It's like planning a war from beginning to end.
