NYC-based film production company seeking to buy the rights to a short film screenplay. Comedy, Drama, Noir, Mystery, and Horror are all welcome!
- No CGI, explosions, or crazy effects. - Any genre is fine, but it must have some element of comedy in it. - No WGA offers at the moment, non-union only.
Rene, can you get them to go back to the old model where Job listings were available to paid members for a week before they were made truly free, that was much better imho
I'm a free member of ISA - they post these ads to lure you in to become a paid member! - you'll find most same gigs on info-list and Craigs-list for free.

Obviously, as someone who posts writing opportunities up on a semi-regular basis I see a lot of job ads listed, and there's often some crossover between Craigslist, reddit, Infolist, Inktip etc etc... but no one source of info has ALL the same leads...
I used to include the ISA ones in the lists I created, but I stopped when they made them an exclusive part of their paid service... previously you could access them with a free ISA membership, but a week later than paid members. If they ever go back to the old system I'll re-include them in my lists.

I submitted a short weeks ago for the short horror gig. It was never read. Don't misunderstand me - it's not that they did not like the log line, which I notice they sell that service - but it was never even opened.
My paranoia makes me think that's the scam. Make people think the log line needs work, when in reality, nobody even saw it and order their service. I hate to be this paranoid, but the screenwriting world is filled with shit like that.
I pay for ISA and have done so for a while. So far, I've applied for lots of gigs and not had any responses and entered their free comps but not placed in any of them. So, I'm sure it's just me but it isn't really paying off. I've submitted to this gig already so we'll see.
