Squid Game a South Korean survival drama series currently streaming on Netflix.

“Hundreds of cash-strapped players accept a strange invitation to compete in children’s games. Inside, a tempting prize awaits – with deadly high stakes.”

All I can say is: Wow!

Must-see edge of your seat stuff, even for those averse to violence, blood and gore. Terrific character writing too.

Watch out in particular for the tug-of-war rope sequence in Episode 4.

Me and the other half loved watching this.

It could be improved a lot but overall it was an entertaining watch.

Two steps to writing a good screenplay:
1) Write a bad one
2) Fix it

Thank you for reminding me! I started watching last week, but then had to quit and go take care of something. I remember thinking it was a GREAT example of, what could possibly go wrong next, kind of thing.

So, I commented here 20 minutes ago, then I brows the internet for news and such and then this shows up in my feed https://www.kstarlive.com/news.....smgXJaGG1kHZ2ibi4r2Q

This is how the internet creeps me out. I respond to a thread about said show and then almost instantly I'm shown articles related to it in other areas of the internet.   >

Don't sleep on Into the Night then. When the sun starts to wipe out all life on Earth, a group of people on a plane struggle to constantly outrun daybreak.  It is French.

Cannot speak to Season Two (yet), but Season One is a masterclass in ratcheting up the tension.

Excellent work, this one.

Hey, it's my tiny, little IMDb!

No doubt. I just hope the English language version does this justice.

Speaking of: The U.S. version of The Guilty starts October 1.

It has two things going for it out of the gate: Jake Gyllenhaal & Nic Pizzolatto (True Detective)

Actually it has a Director up to the task too, and a great supporting voice cast.

I must revisit this. For some reason I switched off at one point. I hope they don't remake this one.
