FYI...someone posing as Producer David Alexanian (it wasn't him) just tried to scam me with a series of communications. Connected with me on Stage32, then slowly tried to work me.
Watch for (all things that I noticed): vague communication, bad punctuation (in this case, caps were consistently misused), mention of "important things to discuss" with no details, and (a scammer favorite) mention of being somewhere cool ("I'm currently in Switzerland", as this guy did.) Person was also pushy. Remember, if your instincts tell you that something's not right, you're usually correct.
Also, insisted I converse through WhatsApp.
Scam ended with him asking me to receive a parcel for him, since he's out of the country.
Actually, technically the scam ended with me advising him on a better place to send his parcel.

A decent amount of effort went into the scam. They created a fake profile. Connected with me. Made contact over several days. All to end with the old "parcel" scam. It was actually kind of disappointing in its lack of creativity.
That said, I just don't get why people put so much effort into hurting others. Same amount of effort into helping and you'll do well for yourself, while doing good.

Wow, a lot of effort went into that one. FB Marketplace for this is rife.
Money. It's all about money.
It is utterly amazing what people will do for a chance to get some money. While normal folks go to work and collect a paycheck, a conman with a psychotic bent considers all that time and effort running the con 'Putting in the work' to hopefully make some money. A sucker is born every minute, and if they're dumb enough to fall for it, then they deserve what they get. Survival of the fittest. All very sad.
Totally agree that the last ditch effort of the package at the end was lame.
Starving artists are right up there with seniors now as being a prime target, or at least a potential mark. All so sad. This is exactly what I try and teach my kinds about — common sense. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck… it’s probably a duck. Too good to be true? Most likely is.

Stage32 is awful. It's pretty much a waste of space IMO. Lots of scammers.
