One of my many attempts to conceal my identity, and make it look like someone else wrote it.

I also used parenthesis for my character descriptions, which I never do, and even went so far as to skip some commas early on.

I also used some crazy (for me, at least) descriptors, like "exactly what you'd expect - not much" and my favorite, "like Denzell in his prime".

HaHa...I was laughing my ass off about that one.

I was even wondering if peeps might suspect Michael Harrop, AKA Michael Alexander, for the religious angle.

And finally, I threw in 2 songs, 1 being The Beatles Yellow Submarine, to further incriminate Stevie.

I'm very surprised so few have chimed in and/or taken credit for their work.

Looks like only a few provided ZERO reads, and we know who you are, so..get on it, damnit!

It only make sense to jump in and say a few words about your entry.  Peeps actually do want to know what you have to say and we are interested.

On a different note, it always does surprise me how many peeps want to immediate do a rewrite and re-post.  In all seriousness (damn, that's twice I've  said that), step back and take it all in before you worry about rewriting this or anything.

And when you do, lose the strict parameters that brought many an entry down.  Write it how you want to and don't worry about each and every requirement.

OWC's are great tools to learn how to write under the gun on subjects that may not thrill you.

I know I was harsh at times, and I apologize if anyone's feelings were seriously hurt.  Not my aim in any way.  Everyone who entered deserves a big pat on the back, and for the ladies, that could be a pat on the bum...   ;D ;D ;D ;D

This contest taught me humility. I thought I'd crank out some magical, enchanted PDF and use all my prowess to make this amazing. Then, I got "Room 3" and it angered some (Ray) and confused the rest. Part ofme thinks its hilarious that it was that bad and part of me is sad that it didn't do better.

I liked this assignment because I really didn't like the premise, but that was the challenge. And making sure all the requirements got in there was a chore too. I couldn't even do that right. But it was SUPER nice to write something and turn it in. Sense of accomplishment: achieved. In the end, I'm not sure if I'll rewrite or just relish The experience and move on.

I was positive that Jeff had written it, just given the nature of the script.  Oops.  Haven't seen Leon on these boards in awhile, so I hope he took the comments on Cowboy Sam in stride.  When I thought Jeff wrote it, I was sure it was a pizzer.  Now I'm not so sure.

Also, I apologize to all the Guns "N roses fans that I offended as I know realized after the fact. Welcome to Jungle was blasting on a friday night when I got to that point and should have realized singer does not equal guitarist.

Didn't have an ending in mind and I think it showed as people commented on how I didn't have a clear ending. It was definitely fun to write the superheroes as I didn't have to create names/backgrounds and could just rip off their banter.

No. I don't feel used in the least little bit.
I ran through my own evaluation process to maintain context throughout the challenge to give my own grades for the purpose given: To produce a low budget + one location short.
I didn't select the prettiest literature in screenplay format, a personal pet peeve of mine regarding how what seems like many votes were cast for this go round. Is that how you vote for government positions? The candidate "whose personality you like the most" and with no regard to the economy and social issues?

Honestly, I believe this gang-bang approach should be employed more often and consciously.
Pia & Michael have PLENTY of work cut out for them.
What I did was just provide a single faux-producer's cursory analysis.
When Pia gets the time to toss up her estimated production cost breakdown you guys will develop an even better idea of how someone who's paying for something views things differently than someone just making sh!t up outta their heads.

Quoted from Grandma Bear Big reveal time here! Here is the reason for the October 2012 OWC and it is also the reason why I could not submit my entry. A while ago, on a Friday night, I was chatting with Michael Cornetto on Skype. As usual, like a good friend, he sat through and listened to my drunken ramblings and I don't remember exactly how this came about, but that is when we came up with this idea. I had just finished shooting TTD and I swore that I would never shoot another film again. mostly because I really hate the production part of it. especially pre-production. we came up with this idea, that maybe we could coproduce a film. Michael would do most of the stuff that I hate and I would shoot the film here in Florida. We came up with the idea of asking people from SS to write short stories that we would weave together into a feature.  Then we came up with the idea of doing it in a rundown motel. after having some issues with the difficult locations I had chosen for TTD, I wanted it to be in a contained area where I could have better control over the environment. especially sound and lighting. since I am also funding this myself, it had to be rather low budget. We asked Don what he thought and he thought it was a great idea. So, there you have it.

I wish every OWC had this pragmatic approach to it.
