Congrats, Paul & Gary! Well deserved. Congrats to Andrea & Reggie as well with Desert Run, a big favourite as well! I hope to see another draft of it go up. * Andrea, you got me with the Guess Who Wrote What, by one. Smarty pants. A great challenge, Yuvraj. Even if I didn't get one over the line. |

New Features: Christmas Joe
Posts415 Posts Per Day 0.56 |
Congrats to Paul and Gary! Another fun and challenging OWC! I’ve started to liken these to a personal trainer: They force you to use muscles you rarely use ( or didn’t even know you had). The workout can be strenuous and taxing, but when completed, you find you’ve made progress toward getting yourself in better shape. Also many thanks to everyone who read and commented on “Deja Reve”, as always, I appreciate all the constructive ideas for improvement shared. I did try to write it more in the tone of a TV medical drama. If I had used the real lingo of the ER, no one could have understood a word and it would have had to be entered as a “Foreign Language” script |
| Scripts Available: Christmas Joe (Holiday Drama) Every Time It Snows (Holiday Drama) Happy Holi-DNA (Holiday Romance) Let That Pony Run (Family Drama) With Love, From Romance (Holiday Romance) Essex (Historical Drama)
Shorts: Santuario (OWC Writers' Choice) Death (OWC) Savior (OWC) Christmas At The Piggly Wiggly ...and many more |

Thanks for the votes everyone. Appreciate it. Didn't know what I had in Devil's Due. Honestly couldn't tell if the story would connect with anyone or not. Glad to see that it did.
Also, congrats to Gary. That script just blew my mind in several places.
My top three were: No Life, Dracul-Stein (still laughing) and Bea Witch, but every script had something to offer, so kudos to everyone who entered. |

Congrats, PK and everyone else. My top two were Devil's Due and Dracul-Stein. The image of poor Shivers, already debased by wearing that moronic costume, floating, helpless in that pool, is just seared into my brain. Pure comedy gold. P.S. - I feel like Mikey felt in the interrogation room while reading the comments about my screenplays during every OWC I take part in... |

Well done PK, excellent writing.
I didn't get round to reading them all but overall quality seemed very high!

Congrats to PK for Devil's Due It was hands-down the best entry. Congratulations also to Kathy, DA-Michael, and Ghost and Ghostie Gal. My favorites besides DD, were Desert Run and Dracul-Stein. I thought the dialgoue in Bea Witch was outstanding. Thanks to everybody who read and commented on my script, and to all who entered the challenge
Quoted Text LC — I'm curious about the Peter Gun reference. |
It was a double entendre: The first being sexual and the second being literal. Also a nod to the old Craig Stevens' TV cop show, Peter Gunn. LC, I knew you would guess my entry. You and Andrea are pretty astute. |

Well done, Gary! And thanks for the clarification re Peter Gun. I found Peter Gunn on the Internet but then that didn't tally with Peter Gun, so tendency to veer into OCD territory averted. P.S. Andrea beat me by one in the guessing game but I'm gonna get her next time. |
