How did I offend you?

Sometimes the truth can be offensive.  You have to learn how to be more diplomatic.

That you think all drugs are the same. How is cocaine the same as a medicine like dilantern? (Which is a medicine that prevents seizures.)

Who cares what cocaine was used for in ye olden times. Tobacco leaves were used as medicine before as well, but we don't use that anymore do we? Now like Coke,it is used for non medicinal porposes. At least in the U.S.

First of all your claim was that cocaine had ONE purpose and ONE purpose only. This is flat out false.

Secondly cocaine is STILL used for medicinal uses TODAY. Mind you, the U.S. isn't The World. SPOILER ALERT: There are other countries!

I have my family. I write. I Game. I live. I go on. That is all I need. I have not ever stopped being depressed and proably will always be depressed. This is the way I am and shall be

Okay, so in effect you didn't really make it through your depression? That's fine. Some people choose to deal with their depression medicinally. Why is that being a loser, if it helps them?

Quoted Text
For myself, my choices and my life. I can drink in moderation. I can smoke in moderation. I don't make the choice to get into a car drunk. I don't get high and drive. Drugs and Alcohol are not the bad guys here, Lohan is. Regardless of what toxic substance is in her system, she still made a choice. stupid people do stupid things because they are STUPID, not because of what they ingested.

For some, sure. There is no denying that a drug like Herion is one hell of a drug to kick. Time and again it has been proven. But only a loser would do a drug like that in the first place.

I am sure you could do non-medicinal drugs responsibly, but those people are still losers.

Aha, so here's my question. Are you a loser for using the drug ethanol 'in moderation'? According to yourself you are. While alcohol is used in many contexts (medicinal and otherwise), if used in a recreational fashion, you are a loser, right?

Oh, man you really gotta set me straight here, 'cause my head is spinning...

If getting wasted on booze makes me a loser, then so be it.

It's Dilantin.

The are both made of the same chemical elements.
Carbon Hydrogen Nitrogen and Oxygen.

The formula for Dilantin is
C 15 H 12 N 2 O 2

The formula for Cocaine is
C 17 H 21 N    O 4

It's also interesting that Dilantin seems to have many more serious side effects than cocaine.  Some are even suggesting that Dilantin might be a human carcinogen.

That's nice detective work.

What are you, a part time chemist?

(That's not meant to be taken offensively.)

I refer only to the USA when talking about coke. I could care less what other countries do. In America coke has but one use, and it has nothing to do with medicine.

Okay, so in effect you didn't really make it through your depression? That's fine. Some people choose to deal with their depression medicinally. Why is that being a loser, if it helps them?

I NEVER said anyone that takes depression meds is a loser. I said you can NOT equate a drug like cocaine with prozac. Prozac is a legal drug that helps people. Cocaine is not.

When I stated I do not take drugs for depression, I was refering to just me. He(op) wondered how anyone could make it through the night without there "drug of choice". I stated I rarely have a drink and don't take meds like prozac and I can make it through the night just fine. Not everyone is drugged up 24/7.

A loser is someone who takes said drug to escape. I don't drink enough to be effected by it. It does not help me escape. It does not alter me or my mind. one shot so often or a glass of wine is a far cry from coking it up and downing bottle after bottle of booze.

Maybe your head is spinning because you're a coke head? You seem to love cocaine so much and defend it users. Do YOU do coke?

Now who's being insulting and offensive.  If you are going to treat people in such a condescending manner then you can do your own research.

So we are proving what? that things can be made up of the same compounds, but still be completely different?

Look up the drug lisinopril, it is for high blood pressure.

Never mind, here it is:C21H31N3O5. Hmmm, made up of  pretty much the same compounds, yet effects the body differently.

Exactly. It also depends on what you already have in your system, or what other drugs you're going to mix with it.
