Congrats, I remember reading of your features, something about the devil. I'm curious to read this one if its still on. Congrats nevertheless.

Thank you Pia for starting this thread. It’s a really sweet thing to do.
Thank you all for the congrats. I’m very excited - as you might imagine. There’s still some distance to go but it’s a huge step. There are no guarantees but as of right now things look very promising. I worked very hard on the script.
Javier is amazing. He’s a really nice guy and a creative powerhouse. He has a lot of ideas and I’m very excited about them. We both share a love of Sci-Fi. I just can’t tell you how thrilled I am with his interest in my work.
Any chance you could throw a big a$$ party with the option money, so we can congratulate you in person?
It may be a little premature to throw a party. If it gets green-lighted, we’ll talk. If it comes out in theaters, we’ll definitely party. I would love to meet you all in person.
Quoted from dresseme
So, is the film going to be in Spanish or English? (I ask this based on the filmmaker's filmography)
It’ll be an English language film. Javier caught Hollywood’s attention when he landed at number three on the International Watchlist and he’s interested in making a Hollywood picture.
When Lerry King asks you how did you start, do you will say to him that it was here in this great place you began!
If I’m ever on Larry King, I will. I doubt I’ll ever be on though.
By the way Helio, remember your script with the 60 year old character named Breanne in the dowdy dress? Remember I said I’d get even with you in my next script? Guess what my next script was? That’s right. Tormentor.
Is this script in the sci-fi section? Can we read it?
The script has never been posted here. And the lid is being kept tight on it right now. Sorry, it’s not available. If it winds up on a production slate, I’m sure the script will turn up somewhere. They have a funny way of doing that.
disclaimer: As usual, Ms. Mattson’s success is due to her hard work and tenacity. SimplyScripts had nothing to do with her success. - Don
Don, I really appreciate what you’re saying but I do have to disagree with that SimplyScripts had nothing to do with it. It’s true I worked very hard but I shudder to think what kind of writer I would be if it weren’t for both the criticism and encouragement I received here at SimplyScripts. This site has been an invaluable resource for me as a writer.
I’ve grown so much here as a result of the feedback I’ve received. Sometimes I needed encouragement and I got it. Sometimes I needed to be knocked down and I got that too. It kept me level and grounded when I could have easily become arrogant or self loathing. It stabilized me and gave me light. I can’t express to you Don how much this site means to me except to say I’m very thankful to you and for all you’ve done for the screenwriting community. Please know that you’re valuable and appreciated and you do make a difference.
And with that, I’ve got to get back to writing.
Once again, thank you all for the congrats. It made my day.

Your words, Breanne from the DS Post - the other day. Seems those words had a little extra meaning behind them. (Meant from me, in the nicest possible way- just so there's no misinterpretation here.).
And aint that obviously the truth!
We only met the other day amidst all the hoopla and angst your DS post provoked but I still feel I can say, I wish you every success with this! Amazing - Good luck with it, Libby.
