Depends on the network you're listening to.
It wasn't confirmed when I wrote that. At that time they said coma.

I think the word legend gets thrown about a bit too much these days but in the world of entertainment, Michael Jackson was certainly that. There will never be another like him. RIP

It's now CNN and Associated Press turn to confirm it. Sounds like there's gonna be a big gig up there with John Lennon and Elvis

Freak, Wacko, Weirdo and some allegedly strange and disturbing behavior in his life. All these things are true. But for much of his life he was one of most talented entertainers to have ever lived and that should not be forgotten. If anything he was a lesson that still does not seem to have been heard by many, pushed into showbusiness as soon as he could walk, beaten by a desperate, pushy father to perform night after night and as a consequence completely missing out on childhood. I think much of his strangeness of the last 10 years could be understood, if not totally forgiven. When he was good (Off the Wall, Thriller) he was very, very good. When he was bad he was Wacko. RIP.

When ever I see footage of him and the Jackson 5 from the 70s I feel a lot of compassion for him knowing what was waiting for him down the track.
The Jackson 5 had some great songs in the 70s. I really liked this one:

Isle 10- A series I'm currently writing with my friend Adam and it will go into production soon. Think The Office meets 10 Items or Less.

It is hard to ignore some of the taint to his talent, but dammit, the young man was undeniable in his day.
To me, this is the one that rules.

He was an amazing performer and I bet he put on one hell of a show. I feel bad for his kids, having to deal with their dad's death in the public eye.
This video always made me laugh though. Not Michael Jackson, but inspired by him.

I think he was a bit messed up, but who wouldn't be under the same circumstances? Personally I prefer the older stuff as well. Is this our Princess Diana story? I hope it won't turn into some conspiracy thing...
