Hey Gabe!
LOL thanks, for the birthday wishes. It's a gray wet one here today in L.A. Figures.
There are two features I wrote in 2012 that aren't here. One of them, at least, should be making an appearance here soonish!
There's been a spot of good news recently too...
The feature producer I met last summer about Clone Wife. I completely rewrote the script based on our development meeting. Well, he finally got around to reading the draft I sent him in November...
And he contacted me this week to set up another meeting!!! This time I've graduated from the coffee shop to his office on the lot. I've learned that if they want to meet with you AND don't own the script yet... It's never bad news!
So, I'll find out next week where he sees his prodco's involvement with Clone Wife!
It's been a whirlwind 2.5 years on this site. That good news I just delivered wouldn't have happened without our active members. So, I share my successes and my hurdles with all of you.
Warm, albeit rainy, Regards, Brett

It's the 27th here ( and has been raining for 2 days - further north they have had tornado like storms with evacs and stuff) and the 26th was Australia Day, which is sort of similar to Thanksgiving.
I can't live the buttoned-down life like you. I want it all. The dizzying highs, the terrifying lows, the creamy middles. Sure, I may offend some of the blue bloods with my cocky stride and musky odors. Oh, I'll never be the darling of the so-called "city fathers," who cluck their tongues, stroke their beards and talk about what's to be done with this Homer Simpson?
And I hope you knock 'em dead at the meeting next week. (Well, maybe wait until after there's a contract in place with his company, then knock 'em dead.)
Happy belated, Brett! Thanks for the helpful insights and congrats on the prog-ccess! (Or is that succ-gress?)
LOL, thanks but I'm not sure. I know if I'm not getting rejected at least twice a day, I'm not working hard enough. And with each passing month, I get rejected by more important folks all the time!
But at least they read me now. And my "voice on the page" I developed through SS keeps me in their rolodex.
My development meeting with Destiny Pictures has been delayed due to illness. This morning I received another nibble from an indie prodco that wants Clone Wife.
As soon as the drug fog clears, back to work I go!
Regards, E.D.
