This Kickstarter member is currently trying his 3rd Kickstarter for the exact same Dollar Baby film as me.
His first was unsuccessful, his second was fully funded with 6 backers making just over $500, and the one running at the moment is sitting at $970 and has been funding for just under a month already.
I take one day away from SS and suddenly I'm the guy running for the bus screaming, "Wait for me!"
Lesson learned.
Congratulations, Warren! This is so exciting. I'm super proud of the work you've put in to get to this point. Can't wait to see the finished project. I just know it's going to look amazing.

Wow, screw shooting on a Sony Siii. Now you can rent an Alexa with Cooke primes.
Congrats on funding this so fast. I tossed my 2 cents in your bag. I’m happy to see these can still work for people who put the effort into it. I wish you the best and look forward to seeing the finished film.

I've been eyeing off the Sony FX6, I really like the electronic ND, but I'm not married to anything just yet!
Have you tried approaching Screen Australia for additional support? If you can show you’re already fully/mostly funded (and you definitely can!) they’re way more likely to provide something; even if it’s not actual funding.

Thanks!
I did actually have a very quick look at their website the other day and couldn't really find anything that I thought applied to a short film. I might have a more detailed look.

Okay, I found a grant that may be relevant. Applying now
As the Kickstarter draws to a close (6 days left), we have barrelled past 200+ backers and are sitting just below $30 000AUD!
Thanks again to everyone that supported the campaign, it is very much appreciated.
This is admittedly not overly exciting for anyone other than me but I had a pretty great delivery yesterday. I've started to invest in my own film making gear and the first delivery arrived yesterday. It feels like the start of a very exciting chapter.
