Don’t see a review for this anywhere. If you’re holed up like most of us, I’d recommend a viewing of this one. It’s creative, brutal and disgusting all at the same time.

In short, people are in this hole at two per floor. Some voluntarily and some there serving prison time. Every day a platform of food makes its way down through the floors stopping at each one for a couple of minutes for them to get their fill. Starting at 0 and working it’s way down, people below floor 50 rarely ever see any food so murder, suicide and cannibalism are the norm. Each month the inhabitants wake up on a different floor. If you’re on the lower level you know you and to your cell mate will be at odds soon enough.

Without spoiling anything, I just wanted to say I thought this was a fun and inventive ride. There are some twists and turns I didn’t see coming.  They leave a lot left unexplained. The people who are here voluntarily are all chasing an accredited diploma which they never explain why. You have to assume this is a much different world than reality.

Either way, it gets a thumbs up from me, but I’m sure it won’t be for everyone.

James.

Watched this a few days ago and really enjoyed it. I though it was quite fitting for the times we are living in as well.

Not sure what movie &#1076 is, but it sounds thought provoking.

Platform has been on my list, maybe tonight.

When you edit a post, sometimes the board goes a little crazy and jumbles up the words.

Yes, it can. Using Full Edit instead of Easy Edit prevents this.
It can also happen if you use Google emojis instead of the SS ones too.

Kham, I'll be curious if you like it. I didn't, but then I was nodding off at times, plus my delicate sensibilities couldn't handle the food element. Ugh! Hubby thought it was great because it was 'original' and different, although he wasn't a fan of the ending.

Came across this one last night. I thought it was GREAT!!!

I thought it was clever and makes you think. Enough food for everyone, but, and I think that's the message here, the people at the top overindulge leaving only scraps for the people "below". Capitalism?

It's listed as a thriller, but I honestly thought it was a horror. Maybe because the situation is so horrific and the despicable actions of the people in it. What makes it so great is that I could totally believe it.
