Well, I wanted to drop a few of my thoughts here but they made me so happy that I decided people should produce droppings of their own.

EXT. WOODLAND CAMPSITE - NIGHT

Young CAMPERS sit around a campfire trading drunken stories. In the foreground, a deer lifts its head in response to branches rustling O.S.

EXT. WOODS - NIGHT

JASON VOORHEES strides purposefully through the underbrush, raises a long knife.

INTERCUT - CAMPSITE / JASON

The deer's eyes go wide, its stare transfixed at the O.S. noise.

Jason advances faster.

The deer stares, unaware of a PLOP just behind it. The Campers remain unaware of any sounds they didn't make.

Jason breaks into a run.

The deer finally bolts, but even this does not raise the Campers' suspicions.

Jason runs past where the deer was, his foot slips on the deer dropping and flies out before him.

Jason lands on his back just inside the Campers' clearing. They're still drunk. Still oblivious.

Jason stands, brushes himself off, looks left, looks right, no one saw that. He raises the knife again and charges the campsite.

Meets the criteria for me.

I'm not interested in coming up with a crazy twist or anything like that. I like my stories Simple. Straightforward. A to B. No C.

It was a dark and stormy night, and all the curious SS members gathered here, in this place - this darkened corner of the Simplyscripts message board - to discuss what is known as...

The October One Week Challenge...

Genre and theme announcement this Friday, October 4

Well, things have changed around here   ... best of luck Steven.

Just ignore the Liverpool supporter - he’s riding a wave of feel good   doesn’t know what he’s saying!

Otherwise, it’s good to see the Halloween OWC

I hope by brain switches back on to writing, as this was always fun...of sorts. I have a fond memory of a gothic horror OWC

Let’s see what Friday brings.

My scripts - links to be updated.

The Elevator Most Belonging To Alice - Runner Up Nashville
Inner Journey - Page Awards Finalist - Bluecat semi final
Grieving Spell - winner - London Film Awards.
Ultimate Weapon - Fresh Voices - second place

I bet you are.

You finished building that shelf for all your mugs yet?

I've never won anything for horror before. Maybe if it was a rom-com horror challange I'd stand a chance

Well, stop.

I picture this epic battle where the whole world stops when the two super heroes twist their way up to the clouds locked in a fierce fight to the finish. Only with words.

Maybe next time.

Christmas Eve

The night HE came down your chimney

'Twas The night Before Samhain,
when all through the haunted house
all kinds of creepy creatures were stirring
not just a stupid mouse.
goblets of blood displayed with care
in hopes that a goblin or ghost would soon be there.
Children out treatin' and dressed  like the dead
visions of candy goods dancing in their heads...
