Are You Afraid of the Dark? by Ronald Simpson - Short, Supernatural Thriller - A dark supernatural thriller that digs deep into the philosophical minds of sophisticated people, and really makes you wonder what really hides in the depths of the shadows of darkness. - pdf, format
Thanks for the 7 page definition of dark.... I guess. Way too much dialogue. No action til the end. If you're making a statement about this challenge, I don't get it.
Well, I believe we have our front runner for worst of the worst. This one will be hard to top. I'd like to ask the writer why he even bothered to write it, because it's incredibly lame even as a bad joke. Nice to know you own a dictionary, though. Congrats on that.
Hey! Why did I get deleted? Those were my honest thoughts and I bet they will be echoed numerous times.
EDIT: You gave nothing constructive in your review and merely bashed the script. Calling scripts a piece of shit and a waste of time is not on - especially if you don't back it up. Regards.
I think this was clearly written in a short amount of time just to get something submitted. I don't think there's any point trashing it as clearly it wasn't meant to be taken seriously. I found the ending amusing in a weird sort of way.
It seems the writer of this knows how to structure a screenplay and is probably quite intelligent, so I'd be interested to see if they submitted another entry that actually took this seriously.
This was an unnecessary dose of sarcasm towards those who created the challenge, and will put in many hours to help the writers here, so I find that a bit shitty.
That said, it's an entry, and was quite funny at times. Obviously the person can write, but it's weird they felt the need to be such an arse to writers helping out others.
Right...pretty odd, this one. I didn't actually see it as an 'up-yours' to the people running the challenge, just a half-baked idea that didn't really have anywhere to go and so ended up going nowhere apart from spiralling into chaos.
I think I have an inkling as to who might have written this, but then it's not much more than a stab in the dark (hey! I can do it too!).
