Can't really say too much as not much has been made public, but a feature film I wrote "The Suicide Theory" -- work-shopped here in 2008 -- was recently picked up for distribution by Freestyle Releasing ("Cake" starring Jennifer Aniston, "The Illusionist" w/ Edward Norton & Paul Giamatti, "The Collector", "Green Street Hooligans", "An American Haunting", etc.)
Wow! I can only imagine what this feels like. Congrats to you, Michael!!! Made in Australia, eh? I remembered that. Do you know when it might be released here?
I'd really like to see your Dead Man In The Trunk short film too - I watched the trailer. Is it available anywhere? I really enjoyed reading that script. All the best to you Michael.
I’m not the best at self-promotion, but my feature, The Stone Addendum, is among this weekend’s ScriptShadow choices if anyone has the time to visit the site and give it a look. Thanks.
Feature film I wrote "The Suicide Theory", workshopped here on SS back in 2008, has officially been given an "R" rating by the MPAA for strong violence, language and some sexual content.
I'm sure a new trailer will be out soon, but here's a teaser trailer for the film from last year during it's film festival run (Dances With Films, Hollywood -- Grand Jury Prize, Austin Film Festival -- Audience Award, Dark Matters Category, Melbourne Underground Film Festival -- Special Jury Prize). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFPPZJdi0Zc
All these years I've been saying I want to see a SS member have a feature made that plays in the theaters before I can quit!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know you personally, but I've seen you around and I'm stoked to see your film going into the theaters! I promise I will go see it if it plays in my town! Be sure to let us know where it plays. Totally f'n awesome!!! Congratulations!
Aw, shucks, thanks Pia. Will be a limited release, but that would be cool to see it do well and maybe get a wider release. Either way, it's pretty damn cool.
Not sure if this is the official poster or not, but I hope it is.
Don't quit, Pia! You have so many movies out! Keep 'em coming!

Limited is still in theaters!!! The closest any of my films will come to that is me renting a local theater, bringing the DVD and sweet talk the manager into not cutting the time short.
I have a thriller going into production in August. Michael Pare' plays the lead. They are trying to find a name actor to play opposite. If it turns out good, I will rent that theater...
I'm thinking about going out there to visit the set. That should be fun!
I noticed this title pop up on the recent MPAA ratings bulletin on a movie news website I frequent, put a smile on my face. Congratulations, that's super exciting stuff!
Thanks Pia, Kev, Rendezvous and Libby! Hopefully some of you can make it out to theater (and hopefully it's playing near wherever you are).

Wow, I noticed that I recognize a lot of the names of the actors in your films. I had the privilege to see the film twice in theaters with an audience, both of them film festival experiences (Dances With Films in LA and Austin Film Festival award winner series in Austin, Texas).
If any of your productions do a film fest run, I highly recommend Dances With Films... they screen your film at one of the most famous theaters in the world, TCL Chinese Theaters on Hollywood Boulevard. The screen was massive! Definitely one of the highlights of my life, a great experience.
I would love to bring my film to Sunshine Cinemas in Manhattan (one of my favorite movie theaters ever... they show midnight films, a lot of them crowd participation, really fun) but I don't think the distribution company would allow it... but then again, I'm not savvy with things like that.
I still have never been on a movie set... not just my films, but no movie sets EVER. You should definitely visit the set!

But, I'm still waiting to see Dead Man In A Trunk - where is it? What's happening with it?
Not to take away from this jubilant victory with The Suicide Theory. Big thumbs up.
It's still making it's film festival rounds... did quite a few film fests... I was fortunate enough to see that one with an audience, was very cool, great response. Next up is the Sasquan International Film Fest in Spokane, Washington.
As far as details concerning seeing the actual film, inbox me... I vaguely remember you commenting on that short script when it was posted here a few years back...
Posted about this on Facebook and Instagram, but sharing for everyone else. Two short films I wrote were accepted into the same film festival (Fright Night Theatre 2015). The directors don't know each other and had no idea the other was submitting their film. One of the directors tells me 26 short films were accepted in all, and it's pretty cool to think two of them are mine.
