They put out 3 studio albums and 2 live ones and then were done. Mike Farris found religion and is doing exclusively gospel music now - I think he won a Grammy for it recently.
The self-titled debut and Magnolia are two of the best albums I've ever heard, and rarely does a week go by where I don't pop one of them in.
There's video on Youtube of a SCW in NY about 4 days before 9/11 - and a young Joe Bonamassa joins them on two songs.
Wow. That's some cool shit. Actually, if it wasn't for the BMG music club I would've never got to know them. 10 CD's for a penny, I think, and Magnolia was one of em.
I only have one lousy CD with all kinds of different songs. I don't have a CD burner anymore, so I'll have to settle for this CD until I get my next car (currently no support for bluetooth audio streaming so I can't use spotify). Sucks...
I know this thread is really old, but I was curious if anyone else does something like this.
My entire collection of CDs is ripped to iTunes, and their store is where I get new songs usually an album at a time. The playlists for commuting are the same ones I use for writing, so they're full of instrumental and choral music with little or no English lyrics.
Let's see what's in there... stuff from
Audiomachine - Chronicles, Existence Boston Pops Orchestra - The Celtic Album Clannad - Landmarks Classical Thunder I-III (ordered that a long time ago from one of those late-night TV commercials) Enya - The Celts, Paint the Sky with Stars, Shepherd Moons Taliesin Orchestra - Orinoco Flow (effectively instrumental versions of Enya's songs) Thomas Bergensen - Illusions, Sun Two Steps from Hell - Archangel, Battlecry, Classics Vol. 2, Invincible, Miracles, SkyWorld
plus one song from Conan: the Barbarian ("Anvil of Crom"), plus some background music taken from the videogames "The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion" and "Warcraft II."
1. Tales From Topographic Oceans - Yes 2. The Button-Down Mind Of Bob Newhart - Bob Newhart 3. Physical Graffiti - Led Zeppelin 4. The Elder - Kiss 5. Throwing Copper - Live 6. Magnification - Yes
Not sure my entire collection would fit on I-Tunes, or how long that would even take...?
I have somewhere near 1,000 CDs. Plus I get them for free from the library and rip them onto my computer, then drop them onto my phone.
For me, I've been wearing out Free lately. Fire and Water especially. Mr. Big and Don't Say You Love Me are my two new favorite songs. Both of them definitely need to go in a script somewhere.

That's what I meant by ripping it to iTunes, except you're probably using a different tool. The audio gets compressed, so my entire collection only takes up about 7GB on my phone.
I too have around 1,000 CD's, but I use Amazon Prime and most are available, so basically all are loaded into my phone, which I play through Alexa wherever I am.
