For me right now, its a lot of the following:

-Regina Spektor
-Fun.
-The Soundtrack from the Chronicles of Narnia
-The Sountrack to Inception
-The Soundtrack to Star Wars (all of them)
-The Soundtrack to Lost
-Johnny Cash
-"Drop the World" by Lil Wayne
-"The Little Drummer Boy"  (there are multiple versions that I like)

(and these would all be through my ipod, and not CDs.  LOL)

Kenneth Abbott Jr.

One of a very small group of people that actually saw Kevin Costner's "The Postman" in theaters,
and I LOVED it!

Co-author of "Dark Speed: The Thirteenth Odyssey"

Coming Soon: "Dark Speed: The Fourteenth Odyssey"

New Shakra
New Mob Rules
New Hess
New Vision Divine
New Circle II Circle

Not very impressed with Zack's vocals on the CIIC...disappointing, actually.

The new Shakra CD is awesome, though!  Very, very impressed.

Update - since a few have provided their recent playlists.

No change, but I have to say that Vision Divine's Mermaids from Their Moons is one fuck of a GREAT SONG!!!!  Incredibly catchy and something that rarely leaves my pee brain.

Can't wait for the new Avantasia - The Mystery of Time.  Tobi's done it again and the initial feedback is incredible.  Coming out 3/29 - don't miss out on the special edition Digi + 2.

At this point, I think I've found the ultimate driving music, which is the album, Dopesmoker, by Sleep, one song that runs just a few minutes over an hour. I usually listen to it when I'm playing video games but naturally, it's a hard one to sit through in regular circumstances so if you're traveling at length and have to sit in the driver's seat for hours on end, this is the way to go. Simultaneously chill/meditative and heavy as fuck, plus hands down the best song about marijuana use in history. If you have a different opinion, I'm sorry; it's wrong. I'd change the rules if I could.

Click if you dare...

Well, James my friend, all I can say about that "song" is that the first 48 seconds are not my cup of tea for sure.  Like 1 chord being poorly played over and over.  And, I am baked right now!!

Obviously, the wrong response. But...

As it happens, Sleep have "normal" songs as well...

James...

Oh man...all 3 of those songs are very similar with no tune and  chord over and over.

OK, check this out and realize that the tune will change many times.. You may hate it, but I'm digging it for the last month or so.

Hmm... not bad. Not my thing but as a lover of Maiden, I'd be wrong to disparage them completely. Surely, we can all agree on that (seriously, if you don't like Maiden, you can fuck off forever...) ...I know you do so we're cool!

In all seriousness, not sure why the music boards don't get enough attention. Love or hate, we can all benefit from sharing some tunes...

Up the irons, mate!  Maiden is truly one of my top all time bands..easily!

I agree...not alot of chatter on the music themed posts or threads.

Take care, bro.
