As some of you may know I've been working hard for the last 6 month pulling all the pieces together to launch the Kickstarter for my adaptation of "All That You Love Will Be Carried Away" by Stephen King.
Launch day was yesterday and by the 24 hour mark we have already smashed through the halfway point of our funding goal... we still have 28 days to go.
I'd love for you to take a look and if it's something that interests you maybe show it some love. Even just sharing the campaign will help a lot.
If you follow the Facebook page link on the Kickstarter you will also see that we are have a huge Stephen King giveaway if we get funded.
Massive thanks to Pia who jumped on board really early... you are a legend!

PS... If you watch the intro video you get to see my ugly mug and get to find out just how monotone I sound
I used to support a LOT of new filmmakers/writers/artists, but when most of them started using fundraising platforms that gave them all the money pledged even if nowhere near the goal, I quit. There was zero transparaty of what they ended up doing with the money. That had the same kind of feel as donating to a charity only to find out their operating cost is 90%...
You looked very nice, btw and did a good job selling the project.
For me personally, your project got me the kick in my flat ass to get going and doing something as well. On a much smaller scale, but Dena and I are aiming to film two shorts before the end of the year! Covid kind of ruined our ambitions for filmmaking, but I think this might be the thing that gets us back. https://www.facebook.com/dark.matter.737

Thanks again!
I really don't belong in front of the camera, that was take 750!
That's great news about getting back into film making. I'm sure I'll have tons of questions for you if this all manages to go through.
I tried the link to Dark Matter but it just took me to your personal FB page.
Warren, just got the email: fully funded in two days! Congrats! I think it's worth noting the secret to your success here.
From your intro to the score and sound, artwork, storyboarding, Budget, Producer already on board, script excerpt, great rewards, etcetera. It looks professional.
Plus social media, Don's boost on the Blog page. People know the extensive prep has been done and this looks like a sure thing.
Just thought it worth mentioning this is the way to do it.

It's been an incredibly humbling couple of days! The support online from the Stephen King community has been like nothing I've ever experienced.
It's a cherry on top to have so much support form SS, a place I feel is like my second home.
Also nice to say funded in two days but the reality is that I've been working behind the scenes on this for about 6 months. Promotion, giveaways, and trying to get so many moving parts to all converge at the same point for the launch day. It has been exhausting in the best possible way.
So to have all the hard work pay off... I'm so unbelievably grateful!
I do think crowdfunding is a great and legitimate way to secure funding for a project, but don't expect people to give you money if you aren't willing to give it your all.
