Quoted from rc1107
Just ran into him yesterday at the Southern Park Mall here in Youngstown.  I was eating lunch with a friend (a drummer who I'm starting to work on a project with), and Tremonti came out of Vitamin World and approached us to say hi to Bill, my drummer.  Bill used to tour with a band and I guess he had hung out with Tremonti before.

Seems like a nice guy.

I love Creed's first album, and I love the music on the second album, although I kind of tuned out because it seemed they were getting too pop-py with their lyrics, but I've always had respect for their guitars.

Haven't heard much of Tremonti's new stuff, besides what you posted.  Very Alice in Chains-y, but again, the guitar sounds awesome.  Hopefully I can get off work tomorrow to go see the performance.

Damn, Mark, you lucky muther...Never saw Creed live but I've seen him twice with Alter Bridge (much better than Creed), but he's coming to Copenhagen next month so I'm definitely there!

One of the most beautiful songs I've heard in a long time. The singer's voice is mesmerising.

Right now I have two songs that I pretty much listen to on repeat.
They've become favorites of mine to write to.
They both have unique vibes that really make my creativity flow.

The Weeknd - Wicked Games
Kid Cudi - No one Believes Me

(sorry no link)

The boys are back and rocking as always!

Kick ass first single from the soon to be released Straight out of Hell.

Give it a chance.  The tune totally changes later on ion the song and becomes much more melodic.  Actually, as with most Helloween, the more you listen, the more accessible it becomes.

I love these guys!!!

Helloween friggan rules.

Right now I've got Speakin' in Tongues stuck in my head by Eagles of Death Metal or as Axl Rose calls them, Pigeons of S*** Metal.

Wow!  Love to see I'm not alone, as I usually am.

I'm not familiar with the band you mentioned, John, but I'm not a death metal guy.  I mostly listen to Eastern European melodic metal.  Also like power metal, symphonic metal, operatic metal, and progressive metal.  Combine them all, and I'm a happy guy.

They're actually not a death metal band.  It's kind of poking fun at the genre actually.  They're a rockability band.  That song is actually in a budweiser commercial I think.

The Haunted is another good band.  Everyone except the singer is from Poland I think.  A lot of melody with some sweet sounding guitars.  The Guilt Trip is an album I constantly listen through.

Isn't the singer of Queens of the Stone Age from The Eagles of Death Metal?

I like some of the guitar work here, Rob.  Even kind of like the tuned down melody.

But, I do not like the grunting crap.

Here's another ABBA song done the way it should have been done originally...but we know that would be impossible.

Here's the man himself, Tobias Sammet with Avantasia redoing "Lay All Your Love on Me".

Or, here we have the Metal Gods Helloween doing "Lay All Your Love on Me", as well.
