Back in 2013 we had a Seven Week Challenge.  Stephen's (SteveUK) -  script, Bad Connection was one of those scripts.  Stephen writes, "...it started life as part of a 7WC..."

Read more about the new Horror/Thriller Bad Connection on Collider.com.

'Bad Connection' follows a down-on-her-luck waitress, played by Dana Davis (“Prom Night” “The Morning Show”, “The Rookie”) who discovers a snuff film on the stolen cell phone she purchased. She soon finds herself on the run from a methodical madman played by Chris Gann (“For all Mankind”, “The Valet”) hellbent on getting it back, and willing to destroy anyone who stands in his way.

Congrats, Steve!

I remember reading this. Great script.
Pity the writer doesn't rate a mention in the article. Not that I could see anyway... **

But I bet you're thrilled, regardless.

** Suppose things get past me at 2am. Writer mentioned upfront, yay!

"... Helgren also serves as the film's director and co-writer alongside Stephen Wells. "

That's the extent of the mention.

Quoted from Don
"... Helgren also serves as the film's director and co-writer alongside Stephen Wells. "
That's the extent of the mention.

My mistake. Terrific!
Thanks, Don.

Thanks everyone! And thanks again, Don – this script was optioned by 4 different producers over the years and 3 of the 4 (including Deon, who has produced and acted in the final film) discovered it on this site.

Here's a few behind the scenes photos of the production that were sent to me:

9 years later. Nice!

Time to dust off some of those old scripts and give them a looksee, I think.

Congratulations.
