I've got it started...and already made major changes to my initial idea....which hopefully will be for the better. I wish we had 12 page like we used to have. ARGH!!!
Yeah, an extra two would have helped. Mind you there is only so much you can polish a turd

I had a simple story but added several scenes and complicated it. Well, hopefully.
Probably the best way to go, inside out. I just always add too much.
I start with a simple scenario, but that I say, hmm, we need to care about this character, we need to see this character in action, or maybe she needs a flaw she has to work out, or maybe there's a bond between two characters that is critical and has to be showed.
I start out with the wizard telling Dorothy she needs to get the witch's broom...and then I end up adding munchkins and tornadoes and Aunty Emms. Next thing you know I have a 10 page feature!

I've got to be about as rusty as they come, with only 1 short script written in the last year and a half.
Got to say, I'm looking forward to reading Jeff's script. I have high expectations.

Well, things are turning out quite well, and I'm just about done...and it looks like I will not have a problem with the 10 page max...I hope. I'm already happy with it, so we'll just have to wait and see what the gallows pole thinks about it. I should be done in the next hour and then I'll let it sit for the night and see how it looks tomorrow, Plenty of time for once, so no last minute rush to get it in...hopefully. I'm looking forward to a BIG turnout!!

Thanks for the motivation, bro. Fantasy status = questionable (but likely out)
Next time for sure.

I've written the title, FADE IN and the scene heading so far. Is that good?

When I write off a character the story gets in the way and doesn't make sense at times.
When the story makes sense - the character is bland, I'm not invested much and I can't expect my reader to like it if the script lacks soul.
But some people do just fine.
And something tells me you'll do well too)

Is there a minimum for this? I didn't get that part. 6 pages is not the minimum, right?
Mark, crank out a page, close your eyes, open them and voila you're on page 7. Things like that happen.

Thanks Pia. No problem for me. Maybe for Mark who'll need to write a page and add another five to it.
