But my gentle jibing aside ... I have to thank Zack for coming up with this challenge. Why? Because parameters are incredibly creatively stimulating for me. And ironically - as I've been requesting short page counts - I've now come up with an idea within these parameters that I love so much I'm writing it as a feature.

So I'm out of this challenge - researching my new feature. But big thanks to Zack. I've been mulling over my next feature for weeks and now I'm all set!

Happy to have been able to inspire you with the challenge. You should still join in. Write out the short you had in mind, maybe you'll get a better idea of were to take the feature based on the feedback you receive.

I'm not interested in coming up with a crazy twist or anything like that. I like my stories Simple. Straightforward. A to B. No C.

I'm torn between a gimmick I actually like and a new spin on an old theme.

Or maybe this other idea...

No idea how you guys manage to go from challenge to fully fleshed out script in just 7 days... The only element of horror mine will have is how badly it's going to be written

Suppose I better get some words down

Shockingly, some of these peeps get it done the weekend it's announced!

My advice is not to rush to put down words.  Flesh it out in your head first, then start the writing.  It's the creative part that takes the time, not the writing.

Settled on what to write. And I have ideas for at least three features.

Loving this challenge, Zack! Now to start writing.

I'm stoked you guys are enjoying this challenge. Getting this thing together has been a ton of fun.  Really hoping for a good turn out so I can get the opportunity to host future challenges.

Can't wait to read all of your scripts and see what kinda crazy ideas you guys come up with.

I've got a first draft.

It's not all that strong... And, I'm not sure more time/work is going to help it.

I'll have to decide whether or not to embarrass myself.

I'm not biting!

It's probably going to devour the competition.

I truly don't think so. This one smells to me. If I don't enter it, I'll send it to you. You can tell me if I'm wrong. But, maybe I'll enter it and take my lumps.

We'll see. Horror's not my thing... and this script isn't convincing me otherwise.

You've got that incredibly relevant avatar.   Surely you can come up with something.

hor·ror: NOUN/ an intense feeling of fear, shock, or disgust.

From your description of how you feel about your draft, you're golden!

I'm on rev. 3 and...meh.

First draft done. Personally, I love it.

Now to polish the hell out of it.
