Did it.

Stayed up all night.
Shouldn't have.
Pounded it out.
Poorly followed the outline I crafted.
Believe I wrote a "modern witch horror" script.

Wil prufe reed lader fur glamaticle and splellin errrers.
Maybe rearrange some rice grains about the plate for maximum feng shui.

GL, folks.

Quoted from big lew
Hi, All

i'd like to introduce myself.

I am among the ghosts of writers past. I haven't participated in the challenges for quite awhile because, as one of you (and John Lennon) said in the thread, "life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."

Jeff and Libby are the only thread buddies I recognize from two or three years ago, and I look forward to throwing my stuff on the pile and running the gauntlet with all of you now.

I got an email from Don about the Horror/Modern Witches challenge and it sounds like great fun.

As for the powers of "modern witches" I took inspiration from the new TV show called "The Coven," part of The American Horror Story series from Ryan Murphy.  If you didn't see it, in tonight's show they levitated people, brought them back from the dead, sewed body parts together to create a sexy Frankenstein and fried people's brains through their mental powers. And that was in just the first 20 minutes.

These ladies are bad asses.  They aren't using their powers to brew potion to soothe your poison ivy rash.

Good luck with all your stuff.

Later,
Big Lew

First draft is down on paper.

Sure it has some parts that need work, but I can't rewrite what I never writ.  I promise to do my best to give you guys something worth 10 minutes of your life.

Now comes the fun part:  The mad dash to the finish line.

You're not alone, Pia.  I have a total of ZERO words typed...but I do havea  few handwritten notes.  Does that count for anything?

I finally started writing, got three pages done last night. Good start, I like it, but I haven't figured everything out yet. Not a position I like to be in, I prefer having the story worked out before I write anything. We'll see how it turns out, at least I'll have something.

My sentiments exactly, Rene.

I have no problem pounding something out in a few hours as long as I know what I want to write...but I don't still and it's beginning to worry me.

I really wanted to take part but it's Thursday night and I've got diddly squat.
Guess I'll just have to read some of the entries then.

Check out my scripts...if you want to, no pressure.

Alffy, it's not too late.  You still haev a day and a half.

I'm just getting started now.  I had to do a bunch of research on the migratory patterns of a certain bird and the mating practices of the common shrew. I think I've got it down now.
