I agree Georgie...I think a lot of things could be tied up sooner in a rewrite of this...but I think the big challenge is that in a lot of ways this collaboration was all over the place...so there wasn't one clear thing.

I could have had something happen to Leona or Sam...but I figured we both had made it this far...so I developed that instead.  I also thought briefly about a shoot em' up ending...but I decided against it because it would be too hard to wrap some things up and there were a lot of lose ends...probably still are some!  It obviously was more "mystical" in nature...but that also seemed where this story was headed throughout, even though that is not the original direction Cornetto had for the ending...maybe some day he  will share that with everyone.

In the end...everyone dies...but basically...in the end...everyone that was of a good heart that had been called to this special place...came back to live again afterall.  Someone had to start the process over...

I originally coupled people up and named off their children   Thought too many might think that was stupid.  (Sort of like, where they are now) lol  Especially with Christopher Lee in there!

By using his name I was trying to have a bit of fun, since we had discussed it on Friday night and I had put in the wrong Name and it started a rash of picture posting. (Christopher Reed) lol  I'm glad you got that though...someone was paying attention!  Still...the man has the best voice ever for telling a tale over a scene...especially a mystical one.

Thank you George for the comments...they are appreciated!

When people and places come to life...that to me is exciting.

I was hoping that Robert Reed's carcass would show up for a cameo or something.

He can't.  Jim J. Bulloch would never release the rights.

What does JJ Bulloch have to do with Robert (Mike Brady) Reed?

The same thing Liberace had to do with Paul Lynde.

Wow!  Now that's funny.

I like the Christopher Lee choice better anyways.

I liked the ending. I did predict it except that I killed everyone. . I was thinking for the rewrite if we can construct this as a series such as giving a title for each section and the writer, etc. Dividing everything to make it simpler. Just a thought unless Michael or any other person has other plans.

Just Murdered by Sean Elwood (Zombie Sean) and Gabriel Moronta (Mr. Ripley) - (Dark Comedy, Horror) All is fair in love and war. A hopeless romantic gay man resorts to bloodshed to win the coveted position of Bridesmaid. 99 pages.

I think you did a great job all things considering. It cannot have be easy to do and to be honest I am so glad it was not down to me to wrap things up. Things did probably peak a little soon and with what you had to work with this was a fine way to finish things off.

Nice job.

And good job too Mr Cornetto, this was a long one but fair play to you for keeping it together.

I would like to take part in a future one, but maybe see where you see the next one going before I commit. This was definitely not my genre and I felt a little lost amongst all the weirdocities at times. It was fun reading what some of you crazy freaks came up with and am impressed how we managed to have everything come together like that at the end.

Well done everyone.

GM, it's a good idea to be able to come up with something in any genre. That's one reason exercises like this are good. It allows you to contribute to a story in a genre you might not normally write in to give you a taste of it.

I'm surprised and a bit saddened by the lack of responses from all who contributed here.

Is that it????

I also think the next time we work together on a project that we have a few more boundaries...maybe even work from an outline, so that there is more of an organized flow to the story over all. I know it won't stop or hinder any of us from being creative when it's our turn to write.  We're all a bunch of goofy goombas anyway....so it can't be helped! lol

I know Michael had a different plan for where this was going...but I think in light of the fact that we didn't know what that was, it was too easy to get off track.  No one hits a bulls-eye without aiming for it first (I tell my clients this a lot!)

Cornetto...are you ever going to disclose what Shiva was in the original plan?  My lips are sealed.

I think Cornetto did an awesome job of keeping us focused to the task and in order...I know he had to spend hours and hours babysitting our butts, keeping up the track sheet, etc.   Thank you for being our captain and guide on this one Michael!

I feel like one of my favorite pass-times has ended...kind of like a good show series ending for the season...what to do with me! lalalala

Good job all around!

FYI - Here is the part I deleted from the post.  It was who was with who and a little "information" behind the scenes…a “where are they now” picture.

Samantha and Jack Stone have 2 adventurous sons, Kaleb and Cash. They travel often, leaving the Tribe to go in search of canned goods and items that are needed. They keep the store stocked to the brim and often fill special orders.

Leona and Michael Webster - yes they ended up together after all (there's nothing wrong with an older woman ).   Michael got over thinking he wasn't good enough...and just grabbed her one night standing over the falls and kissed her. They were the first to pair up. They now have four children, 2 girls, 2 boys, Nicolette, Daisy, Simon and Andrew.

Heidi and Colin...Heidi settled down with her rebirth and together they have 3 children, Sean, Eliza and Amanda.  Heidi is most industrious and manages all the food supply with Colin that  Sam and Jack bring in for the families...she doesn't mind a bit when someone takes an extra can of food.

James and Innocence, resisted, but finally gave in to each other and have one son, Blake. Innocence is now 7 months pregnant with their second child.  Her relationship with Cordelia is of fast friendship rather than motherly protection and it has taken the burden from her soul.

Cordelia, now in her 18th year, is the wise teacher to all the children.  Her heart is full of thankfulness and kindness.  She has taught all the children to sing silly songs and her favorite...to recite poetry.

Albert is worshiped by the children as the Grand Papa!  He laughs and tells the children stories and loves to see the sparkle in their innocent eyes.  He often talks to Betty, out loud, so everyone knows who she is...as if she is there with them.

Father Robert Holmes smiles often watching the children...he has said the blessing over each one of them in turn and is a satisfied man.  The unified Tribe call him "Father" respectfully.  His heart and soul are truly open for the first time in his life.

Wolf and Timber - on rare occasions they come down from the mountains, only to visit with mankind for short periods of time.  After his brother set the snakes on him when he had taken his real life form to help them find the falls...he makes it a point to stay a little closer to the throne on the mountain top.

For all there is a sense of wonder and purpose...they are thankful to have a fresh start and a new life.   They talk often of the dark days, to remind themselves that it is in the past and to ensure that their children know the story of the dreams that brought them to the falls.

Note:  Just a bit of madness I know...but sometimes you just want to know what happened to the characters.   lol
