So, do you have to declare you are IN by a certain deadline, or do you just go about your merry way and hand it in at the end? "Yes, I followed the rules, never contributed, but here is my masterpiece." Like, couldn't anyone just send some script in they have been working on for years that fits the bill and then say " Oh yes, this fits!"and try to dupe real participants?
other than the macguffin, which is not a bad thing to add, i was working on a suitable idea.
ten pages by next Friday - probably a good challenge to get things going
however, i think i will post my longline and overview here before then as the way i see it, this is about all helping each other and if someone makes a a good observation - like its shite - or good suggestion early on, that could help a lot. why not?
i can't guarantee competing the script, nobody can, but i will try to write something

I'll get something done. Not sure what yet. My mind is turning over possibilities as I type this. I have a couple of ideas on my board that may be twisted to suit. The idea I was going to go with is one that I've wanted to write for a long time, based on a short story I wrote when I was around 20. So 20 years ago. It's very gruesome and I want to write it now before I go soft in my old age. The Macguffin is not an issue. I suppose I can twist this to a woman. I may go for it. But I'm still thinking. Either way, I will write something.
I'm sure there lots of ways of doing this but in my simple mind it about having something, could be real or not, which someone is being pursued for. It is likely they don't know what it it is or why, and nor do the audience, and hence why it's a mystery that helps the film appeal.

Too bad I can't participate. I just started another script, more like almost started in my head only, but... it'sa dramedy and there's no Mcguffin. But I'm serious about it and want to finish it (to start it at least). And I have to rewrite one other script - was giving it a rest. Anyway, a bummer I can't do it.
Good luck to everybody!
Max, I thought you were a girl. You're not? Sorry for the dumb question but there was a time people were wondering the same about myself)

You mean they were wondering if you were a guy, right? I know I did... About you, I mean, think you were a guy...but only for a very brief time. Of course you didn't have your avatar back then.
