Poor old Jeff. Sounds like Texas Chainsaw meets Deliverance.

Thanks for the "old" part in there, Lib!

The only thing I need a chainsaw for around these parts is to cut off the bellies of all the obese pigs stumbling about.

I swear and I'm not embellishing, the average weight of the females in San Antonio must be north of 225, and probably closer to 250 - Stevie would be in hig heaven here!

That sounds like a romcom for Jeff.

*sings*
Yeah, it's pretty clear, I ain't no size two
But I can shake it, shake it
Like I'm supposed to do
'Cause I got that boom boom that all the boys chase
And all the right junk in all the right places...

Sorry...had to..they've been playin' that song to death 'round here!

Guess I should move to San Antonio and join my herd. Or whatever you call a group of hogs. Be careful Jeff. Insult enough of us and you'll be trampled.

If I feel that passionate about what?  The Hallowed October OWC?  WTF?

Do I need permission to write something?  No, but thanks for asking.

Thanks for that last comment.  That's very sweet of you, Scooby Doobie.

I'm sure we'll hear something soon, as it is a tradition around here and hopefully, this ghost town will awaken, like a mighty sea creature coming straight Up from the Depths.

I didn't mean to offend you Dreamscale, (and I don't think I have) but I should have put a smiley face at the end of my sentence. However, reading it back, it did seem like a bit of a dig, so I'll apologize.  I should have made it more obvious it was intended as a bit of banter, and in all fairness, you've taken it as such.

I should not have said it at all baring in mind our recent history, so I know that's a bit silly on my behalf, and I apologize.

Hope you all do well with the OWC. The Halloween one is the "biggie", so good luck to everyone!

If memory serves, it started in the second week of October last year.

I only know that as there was this business with the bald fat bloke down the road finding me asleep in his garden. Again.

I probably shouldn't have pointed out how much he resembled Charles Laughton.

Honestly, I think it would be good for the industry and consumers for filmmakers to cast for nontraditional female roles.

Oh, but the Dress Barn of Horror - surely it is the epitome, the Asylum Sharknado of true horror...  Why settle for 4P of jumps and scares, when one mightest have 18W - an ample girth of pure terror, that grabs one in its ample bosoms in bright, blossoming floral colors of sheer evil...!

...I *seriously* have to stop drinking after 9PM.  Carry on, folks...   As you were.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Keeping a watchful eye on what society is pushing, as well, will give you a fairly good idea as to what the film studios are ready to push out.

My two cents are 'Death' and the 'Glamorization' of those particular media headlines. Simply put, death is on the rise (Ebola) and I'm seeing quite a bit of glamorization of that said media vice via 'Dia de los Muertos' (Day of the Dead) theme. That and the theme itself coupled with 'Sexy Sirens' or the elaborate 'Sugar Skull' face painting. That's the media of course trying to deflate the concept of death itself by forcing an altered perception via cute and sexy... effed up right?

I mean, I've seen the entire theme enshrouded within the 'Day of the Dead' holiday previously, but never as prominent as I'm seeing this Halloween. I'll admit... I'm totally enamored by it, so much to the extent that I'm already buying into it tooth and nail. Perhaps I shouldn't think out loud on this because I'll blow my cover if I script into the October OWC, but meh... tis' not that anonymous when everyone knows you write from inside a rabbit hole. Anyways, I couldn't help but jump on this bandwagon and start creating artwork based on this ideology. Here's a poster I created (for a script not yet in production), perhaps it will inspire someone else (OWC... hint, hint) to push the concept, LOL... or not.

Logline: when a plus size Aussie model - Robyn Lawley (google her, she's hot) wakes up in a San Antonio basement under the house of noted Arizona sheep rooter Jeff Bush, the Australian government must utilise the services of an  Aussie backpacker  who is shagging his way alphabetically through the cheerleading personnel of NFL teams. By chance, he is up to 'D' and in the area. An epic race against time ensues. Will the denim shorts prevail? Or will Jeff introduce Robyn to the rest of his 'family' who live as Human Centipedes?
