There's only one week left of this month, then it's time for one of my favorite months. October! Usually, there's a OWC in October and usually, but not always the OWC is horror or Halloween related. Anyone but me wishing for a spooky OWC?

Always think the October one should be spooky.

I'll be in, regardless.

Seconded.

I'm actually mulling over horror stories at the moment as the guys I'm working with want to make a supernatural horror. From what I've been reading too they seem the most likely to be picked up by distributors.

I'd be in regardless as well. I do like the idea of something spooky being the theme, though. Would be my first OWC.. first for any writing challenge actually, should prove to be interesting.

Good way I've found of coming up with horror stories is going through a list of non-horror films and imagining telling the story as a horror.

I don't know what it is about Hallowe'en season but it really gets my creative juices flowing. I'm all about the horror genre, yet can never bring myself to write anything horror-related except for these OWC's, so I'm all in if this one gives me an opportunity to get freaky.

Currently writing a horror film. Not sure if it will fit into the OWC's theme and it definitely won't be done in a week. But we'll see........

I don't know if I'd be in but I'd like to read a few to get spooked - that's for sure. And maybe an idea will visit, and if the mood is right, then.... I don't want to jinx it - I believe in jinx. Horror would be definitely my choice as well.

I look forward to reading something of yours DS. You make some very insightful comments on other's scripts.

Looking forward to hearing what the Halloween theme might be too.    I don't see 'A Drum... ' yet, but here's hoping.

I've tried to participate, both with a script and reading, in the last few OWC's...

Unfortunately, with things going on in my life at the minute, I have no time to write, no time to read and zero time to give to anything, and for that I apologize (especially in the 7WC features, which I've not even responded to yet).

If I had the time, I'd be happy to participate.  But at the moment, I just can't.

I'm still plugging away at the last challenge,(7wk) but I'm having several unexpected roadblocks with it. But if there was a horror themed Oct OWC, I wouldn't mind going back to the old wheelhouse.

But only under the following conditions: no witches, zombies, vampires, werewolves, psycho hillbillies, mummies, ghosts and man eating chubracabras.

Slashers, superstitions and scarecrows please.

I might give this OWC a go. Especially if it's horror as I favour the genre.
Hopefully I have the time. It's been pretty limited lately.
