Witchfinder General is the first film I think of that deals with how savage and barbaric these witch-hunters were. I'm not a huge fan of remakes for the sake of remakes, but I think an updated version of that concept could really be interesting.

Mind you, it would probably end up like the Wicker Man

The Devils is older.  It's a film based on story in the link I sent to Ray.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066993/

There is also Crowhaven Farm, if you count TV movies.  This one scared the heck out of me when I was a kid.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0065594/

And if you count plays there is also The Crucible which dramatizes the Salem witch trials and is older yet.

Is that the one where they crush a woman to death with stones?

Saw a film with that in it as a kid and it stayed with me for life, but I never knew what it was. It looked very much liked that.

You can find it online.  I've watched it recently and it's still kind of creepy.  Not as scary as when I was a kid but creepy nonetheless.

The first thing I was gonna ask about that clip was - does she get stoned to death at the end! I've always remembered that scene , but could never think of the title.

I remember The Devils too, but it's been an age since I last watched that one.

Screenrider promised me that his script will blow mine out of the water. So I guess that means he's in.

I aim to keep that promise!

Jeff,

You mean to tell me, you havent even started yet?

Pull that pencil out of your A$$ and get on it. I don't want to hear "oh I only had one night to write it" crap.

By the way, send it over when you're done. I can't wait to read it.

Shawn.....><

HaHa...yeah, maybe you're right...my ass has been quite sore lately...maybe it is a pencil up there.

I'll probably have less then 1 night to write this masterpiece, but rest assured, it will indeed be a masterpiece!

Just making final decisions on which mythology to go with.  It's down to about 3, I think, and any of them will fit into my plans.  I'm going to stick with exactly what Rick is after...low budget, easy to film (for the most part), with stunning locales, somewhere in Scotland, Ireland, or Britain.  I'm even going to double space around my Slugs...Balt will be thrilled and proud!

You guys and gals just get ready...I wouldn't even mention it if it weren't going to be HUGE!

Where it's written can be adjusted... =)

I plan on not setting mine across the pond, but it could be easily filmed that way. So long as I finish in time. I don't even have Final Draft on my computer at the moment.

Damn it.

Doing my best. Granted it's only about .036% of Jeff's worst, but still... =)
