Rick -

FAN-DAM-TASTIC!
Thank you.

This stuff requires a ho-lotta research just to make it look legit.
Goodness gracious.

I'm surprised at the extent to which it's so Christian/Hebrew/Jewish/God/Devil centric
Thought it would be more extra-Christian God oriented.

Love how all the demons are animal composites of regionally known beasts from the times. Nothing they'd have no idea about, say animals unique to Australia, Oceania or the Americas.
Nothing recently extinct.

Demons are only comprised of animals A. European, North African or Asian, and B. not recently extinct or extinct for quite some time.

Hmm...

LMAO that you can get The Book of the Law: Liber Al Vel Legis on Kindle for $2.99:
http://www.amazon.com/Galloway.....298599099&sr=1-1

Lots of the others, too.

A fool and his money...

The two "news" articles were great, as well.
Liked the second "Vampire" one where the idiot author gets himself arrested.
Niiiiiiice.

Good GREAT poop!
Thanks again!

In retrospect there is no way my script would've made page cut...  I finished my script up last night at 23 pages; a rewrite tonight will get it down to about 17 I hope.  Not gonna brag about it too much, but I'm really excited about it.  Really, really excited about it.  I did a register for copyright today on a 1st draft, that's how excited I am about it.

Entering it into Shriekfest for sure.  It won't be apart of the OWC, but I'll be tossing it up here for feedback leading up to early entry on march 20th.

I for one, am very, VERY disappointed, Balt.  Seriously. I was really looking forward to what you were going to spit out.  Glad you're happy with it, but again, I'm really bummed you couldn't put together a 10-12 pager for this awesome challenge.

BUT, in a way, maybe I'm happy, as that's 1 less polished, Pro writer that I don't need to worry about now...unless of course, you're fucking with us and already have a kick ass script.

You guys hopefully know that I'm just fucking around with what I'm saying here.  I do plan on having a rock solid entry ready by tomorrow night at midnight, EST, but as of right now, it's at ZERO pages, ZERO words, and  ZERO research.

As I always like to quote from the great Hooper, "Don't wait on me, damnit!".  HaHa...I doubt that's even exactly the line, but in my head, that's what I remember..and use over and over again.

Best of luck, everyone!  Hope to see alot of great entries.

Got one down solid, although it might fail one aspect of the challenge's criteria.
Will probably pound out another tonight and tomorrow.
Have ideas for about ten others.

Happy with yours, frog-licker?

I did write it along side the OWC, and it did start out as a OWC -- Even after the kids bit was green lit.  So I am going to sub it to the site tomorrow as I would have if it were apart of the challenge.  Just know it's not apart of the challenge if you decide to check it out.

It's just the deeper I got into it the more I wanted to flesh it out and add some more substance to it.  When it was all said and done I was sitting at 23 pages going, there is no way I can cut 13 pages off this.  5? Sure.  6? maybe.  But not 13.  I am very excited to have you all read it, though.

This is the line I used from day one to keep me motivated

"No one is killed on screen but make'em SCREAM!"

I tend to come up with lines like that for most of my work to give me a theme or a color to work off of.  This way if I put the script aside for awhile I can easily jump back into it by reciting the line that embodies it most.  I started doing that about 4 years ago when I realized that vast amount of unfinished work I had laying around.

If for some reason, the script goes over the 10-page mark, how far over could it go before it bends the rule so much that it breaks off?

Or, is the 10-page rule set in stone?

Do you think I could get two more pages from it?

I remember Rick saying it's okay to go 2 pages over the limit. If he doesn't see you post you can pm him. Or Pia maybe.

It's always polite to ask. =)

He probably did and I probably missed it, looking through el 16 pages. If not, it'd be ok. 24 hours of editing = the best story ever.

Besides, my October OWC was very well-received and I wrote it in about an hour, so who knows?

Page two of this thread.
About half a page down.

Quoted from Scar Tissue Films
Around ten minutes or less, but a couple of pages extra isn't going to be a deal breaker.

All finished editing.  Now all I need is a logline.  Looking forward to reading some good scripts.  Any predictions on number of entries?  I'll guess around 40.  Seems like a popular theme this time around.

Thank you, Ray, for the specifics.

And, Ryan, I highly doubt it'll be that high unless we have a lot of people doing more than 1. I'll put it at 19 due to the interesting (not bad) choice for the OWC.
