Quoted from Baltis.
Largely why I pulled out with my script -- I realized it was going to need much more substance to be told effectively.  I swapped out horror for suspense in the 1st 10 pages of the script.  In fact, nothing happens, horror-wise, until page 15.  But when it does it happens in such a visceral, ominous way that's undeniably worth the build up.

Baltis, I say this with all due respect, but I've been around SS for nearly two years and in all that time I've read one screenplay out of you.  WTH?   Frankly, I get a litttle tired hearing you talk about this and that and then never see any results.   You're telling me you can't put together one script for this OWC?   I gotta be honest...sounds like a major cop out.

This comment is intended to inspire you.   Maybe even piss you off enough to enter something.  The day is still young.

Just submitted mine. For some erason I couldn't come up with a great title - spent the last day trying to think of one.
The eventual one I threw on just before sending to Don - its ok but...ironically, it'll probably turn out to be the title it needed anyway.

Looking forward to reading these! And hopefully, any 'ring in' writers will read more than their fair share as well...

Five bucks says it inspires rancor, instead.

Balt's not one to fight a fight he might not win at.
If he wants to lose it'll be among giants rather than men.

Just a fair guess, of course.

Thank you Ray and Khamanna for the link.  I can't access it here at work, but now I know where it is.

Lots to do when I get home in a couple hours and this saves some time...thanks so much.

Just submitted.  Think it came out alright.  Anyway, can't wait to see what people came up with for this.  A wide variety of horror, no doubt.  I really hope there's at least one story with that Scottish sasquatch thing.  Not mine, though.

Mike, I was writing this script as apart of the challenge. It just isn't going to work for it.  As I said it will be posted for any and all to read leading up to march 20th upon me finishing the 2nd draft tonight. I am entering many contest this year. Many. I will be a placer in some.  Maybe even win. Who knows.... We shall see.  Keep in mind I wrote a 23 page script in a week too.  Not a 10.

In closing, don't worry what I do. Worry about your work.  I know what i'm doing.

There won't be one from me this time around, but I am very anxious to read the scripts.

The OWC usually gets some pretty awesome scripts.

No, no, no dont take it like that man.  I'm on my phone right now so proper response is a bit hard.   Plus, just because I say I'm not in doesn't mean I'm not.  But my post here dosent mean I am either.  Again, I know what i'm doing and what's important.

No worries.   I was being a smartass, anyway.    You're right.  I need to focus on my own script.

I just noticed the deadline. I guess if I didn't get a confirmation my script got lost in the ether.

You're good. Don doesn't send out confirmations until he posts the scripts.

Oh, I got one confirmation days ago. Does that mean the scripts are posted somewhere? Damn I'm new to this.

Scripts won't be up for a few more days.  Read some scripts until then.
