Hey you, I read all most of the times in the past when you haven't even with an entry in. What is worse you actually say that you stop after the first page - to bring a writer down. What kind of a clown are you?

You just like the fact that Don is extremely busy - and thats why you decided to start again. Leave me alone please. It's very sad to me that some may buy your act. Yet again that all see through you in time

I know a few people and what they wrote, and I can tell you all that the real versions, without the page limit, would have been much better. Dan

Thanks for sharing. It's always good to know about the open script swapping, with some probably slimy reviews then in process. Really love it being sure about that fact, every time I'm on my good old jumping in the shark tank approach. Thanks again.

Sorry, not sure I understood anything you wrote.  I merely meant that a shortened version of a story won't be as good as any version without a page limit.

Most of the stuff that people hated about my story would be taken care of if  I can write it in more then 6 pages.

Oh, if you meant that I knew what people wrote before I read it, sorry, not true.  I didn't know what anyone wrote until people started talking and PMing each other.  When I started the OWC script reading, I knew my story and one other.  That's it.  And honestly, I forgot the name of my script.  Yep, I felt dumb.  Or high....

Dan

Please read my scripts:

I'm interested in reading animation, horror, sci fy, suspense, fantasy, and anything that is good.  I enjoy writing the same.  Looking to team with anyone!

Thanks
Dan

For what it's worth, I never respond to fishing type emails or private messages. I prefer to know what people genuinely think, rather than what they think because they know I wrote it.

All of that aside, my real goal is to write a script that is likely to be produced outside of the OWC. Everything else is just bullshit.

Oh boy, so peeps are bitching about who is reading and who is not reading and how many you should read, well this has been biting me for a week... SO FUCK IT

I don't usually call myself out on the OWC I've doing this too long, but I'm so fucking livid right at the way this is going.

I wrote Super Singles...
I'm incredibly pissed at the lack of reads and i'm even more pissed at how it was presented in the email.
I have never in the history of the OWC read in an email that I did not have to read any particular script. But just to make sure  the 3 that went over got separated  from the rest and mine was bottom due to alphabetical order. Now I know it was't the intention of Don but the consequences showed...most of you avoided like the fucking plague.

I joined this site 6years ago and was told that OWC was the way to go, you read plenty of scripts and many will read yours after we're all story tellers right? I mean isn't that the main part of screenwriting.
This site was set up to help writers. Every OWC has parameters and they've been broken over and over for many years on this one,  some scripts had no comedy, some scripts even had no superheroes but yet they weren't singled out, you all went ahead  and commented
I made an effort to write my script just like everyone else and up until friday night I had 6 pages, then I did a quick change and actually thought I deleted more than I added and so I posted it... turns out I went 6 FUCKING LINES over, the other 2 that Don Labelled went 2 pages over and they still have more reads than me.
That's right, how many of you actually know I only went 6 lines over? But that's all you needed.
6 1/4 pages... not 7 as stated.

I've also read all 33 scripts out of respect and this is what is eating me right now.
So SS members have taken it upon themselves to disrespect my script because of an email and because you like to follow the crowd... I really don't care if everyone hates it... the least you could have done was leave a comment.
I noticed people saying they read them all but yet I don't have a comment on my script. I guess they're too good to help me out with their comment.

It's got so bad that DanC left a sympathy review on my script pleading for peeps to read it without me asking.
How is it that peeps can see my script with 8 reviews and everything around have 17 or 21 reviews and not feel like they should comment?  So i guess the 6 lines over was enough to deter... oops I broke a parameter, I have comedy and Superheroes 2/3 I guess.

I would like to thank the 9  reviews I did get who didn't didn't jump on the bandwagon... Steve, Stevie,Jeff, Cammy, DanC,Bill, Mark R, Pia and Dustin.

And there's me thinking these were FUN challenges.
Well as we're separated from the rest, apparently we must have our own contest. Because we're not good enough... so my votes are :

1. Super Singles
2. Holding out for
3. INksport

Hopefully I'll get a mug

Rant Fucking Over

Sorry to hear that mark.

I enjoyed your script and agree that it should have more reads. Sorry I didn't know it was so behind, if I got the email, I didn't read it.

No worries Irish Eyes, sorry you're pissed at the whole thing. My first challenge so can't really comment, just to clarify though are you voting for your own script??? Is that allowed?

My logic in leaving the longer ones till the end was that they would take longer to read. Going half a page over should never deter anyone though. Technically 6.5 pages is still 6 pages. How many reads did the 8 page one get? I can't remember which script it was. That's why I have to put a rec or consider in each thread. So when voting time comes, I follow each link and look for my comment. Last OWC I forgot which scripts were meant to be rec'd, so very few were. Sorry about that, but I'm sure the right person won anyway.

I didn't get the email either. Unless it was the one where in the title it says 'your script is blah, blah' as I rarely open those. It says it all in the title. I'll have to start opening them now.

It's ok Bill, you read it and I really appreciate that. The email shows  my script on the bottom and a dividing line with 2 other scripts that went a few pages over... All the SS members have to do is look and voila! It's on the bottom, so screw that!
I'm glad you enjoyed, actually the majority of who did read it  enjoyed it... ah well[/quote]

Hi Cammy, A big thumbs up to you buddy. Fair play for getting your hands dirty, entering, reading and commenting that's the way and you have mucho respecto in my department.
Yes you can vote for your own... will I? No.
Even though Im fucking pissed I still have to much respect for those that entered.

Exactly Dustin. A few peeps even pointed that they didn't know I went over until I mentioned it.
The other 2... one has 13 and the other has 15 as of now

This was the email :

Hi Folks!

The OWC scripts are up. There were 34 entries.  Three exceeded the page count.  I posted them anyway, however, in the master list they are listed last, so you can decide if you wish to read them or not.

I'm not bashing Don by any means, but I personally think this was a poor judgement

I've still got 7 to read I think, including the 3 that went over the limit. The reason I haven't gotten round to them yet is simply because I'm starting from the top of the master thread going down, and these three are at the bottom.

Sorry you feel that way, Mark. It is pretty shitty.

Being anonymous is not mandatory. You can use your real name if you like.
